This track is the 1st experiment to test my now DAW-less (no PC digital audio workstation ie. Logic or Ableton)- synthesizers only ! Took me a while to get the system running smoothly, as this is/was pretty much something I used to do late 80s and early 90s. 24 track sequencer, 16 MIDI channels only. Reason I'm doing this, is to perform it live..as in LIVE - NO laptop pre-recorded karaoke tracks !

Live Analog Dj Set

Here is the illusive set by Johan Jordaan aka "Mr.Stomps" entitled Stomps on Acid - The Progressive Test ranging at 138bpm... 

The set was mixed using 2x PioneerCDJ5000's and a VestaxPMC-280ProDjMixer. There is not really much to tell about the set... The titles say it bright and boldly... "Stomps on Acid"

don't need to say much more about this set or track selection really. Tracks were carefully selected starting off with a classical 12/12 triplet bassline track that simply progresses onto some seriously clever and open arrangements. The sound is PHAT, CRUNCHY and CRISPY! each track delivering it's own special assets to compliment a perfectly piloted set by Mr.Stomps. The well seasoned master of arrangements and psychedelic journeys himself is at the healm of this live recorded set at a intimate open air party, high up in the Helderberg mountains, amongst 3 massive waterfalls and under the lush growth of the forest canopies that cover the mountain range.

The set is 100% authenticly mixed with no midi controlers or prearranged and recorded sets like so many dj's, artists and live performers have been doing in the last 10+ years.
