Why Don't We

Hailing from the Queen City of the South, Erico Ray stands out as a promising Pop and Soul artist in the Philippines. His musical journey began at the age of 13 when he started performing as a session guitarist. Today, Erico continues to captivate audiences in local bars and pubs, collaborating with some of Cebu's finest bands and musicians. Additionally, he serves as a studio musician for various recording studios and local artists in Cebu.

Currently signed to Bandmate Distro, an independent record label in the Philippines, Erico Ray draws inspiration from Soul, Jazz, and Blues genres, citing John Mayer, Bruno Major, and Maroon 5 as significant influences on his guitar playability and musical style.

In early 2021, Erico Ray independently released his debut single, "Don't Tell Me," which garnered attention by being playlisted on Spotify's "Fresh Finds Philippines." The single has attracted listeners from around the world, particularly in Southeast Asia, and received airtime on the local radio program "Local Vocal" on Magic 92.3 Cebu.

While contributing his talents as the guitarist for the local band State Of Grace PH, Erico Ray remains dedicated to his solo music career. He is currently in the process of creating new music, with plans to release several singles and an EP in the summer of 2022.
