This recording was done in May 2008, and was completely improvised, and recorded without us knowing it. It's a great song, and it has a great feel to it.

This is one of many song ideas that my first band, Emporium, and I have recorded to work on.

This is a jam that was recorded with 2 guitarists I started to jam with. This is our 1st jam that we have played together. Also, this was the 1st time the 2 guitarists have met/played with each other. Really great stuff.

Heavy Metal Take 1 1-2014

This track was an idea that the singer for my first band, Emporium, had. He presented the opening and chorus riffs to us, and we decided to just run through it. I always try to record all of the attempts of a new song. I do this for 2 reasons; 1) To record what we're doing for the sake of not forgetting, and 2) To capture any potential magic. Sure enough, I caught magic. Coincidentally, and unfortunately, this was our last rehearsal together. So with that being said, this song was never fully structured and arranged. But as you can hear, it sounded pretty damn good considering it was the first time we ran through, and just went with whatever happened.

This is a song I made 2 years ago for my music class, Digital Music Production. I used the program Reason to create this track. Within the program, I used a drum machine, a few synthesizers, and played around with the fading, and overall levels of each track. This my first time using this program, and I had about a week to work on it. Hope you enjoy. 

This Is A Test

This is a project that I created for my Multimedia class back in college. I cut and edited various tracks from an audio recording that the professor let us use. I used the program Adobe Audition to create this track. Pro tip: To enhance the creepy factor for this track, listen to this very loudly or with headphones. ENJOY!!!

Gunther's Cereal Chunks

My name is Eric Puente. I am a drummer who has been playing for over 15 years. I have been playing with various rock bands, and other musicians since 2005. Since then, I have played in multiple bands, performed over 100 live shows, and have even jammed with other various musicians/line-ups. I decided to put together a soundcloud site to showcase the music I've played, and help create over the years. The twist is, that I'll only be putting recordings of various demos and improv jams that I've been apart of. I decided to do this since I have various "official" sites with my current and old bands. So since a lot of those have actual recorded, and structured/finalized songs, I decided to let people hear what could have been. For a lot of these recordings, these were just song ideas that were in the works, and for varying reasons, never became a complete product. As for some of the other recordings, those were complete improvised jams. The main reason I want to have these improv jams up here is to give these recordings, and artists involved, the fair treatment of being heard. A lot of these were very solid sounding pieces. In some cases, they sound so in tune, that you might think that its an actual song that was written, rehearsed, and then recorded. I hope everyone enjoys these pieces. I'll add more over time.
