I performed this set at Miami's Burning Man Fundraiser "6th Degree Burn" on July 6th, 2019. I played alongside Phutureprimitive, Soohan, Subsqwad, Momentology and Bebe. What a night it was!! I knew there would be a lot of bass heavy music that night so I decided to create a booty shakin set and what a memorable dance party I created! It was a night I won't forget and it was also fun to share my love for breakbeats to those that had no idea I played more then just Jungle and DNB. Friday Throwdown (Energy Flash Promo Showcase) Live On CCR - 18.08.23

It felt good to be back behind the wheels this week after an extremely hectic work week for me. One bonus result of having to skip last week's stream is that I had amassed an extra fat stack of new music. The downside of that is the feared "paralysis of choice" scenario where I start second guessing what to play and risk sounding unfocused. To counteract that I tried to stick to my classic formula of deeper organic feelgood liquid bops in the first hour, and moving into the darker tech synth material after the halfway point. I think it  worked out pretty good in the end. Great times hanging with the homies in the chat.

After a super hectic work week I had very little time to prep for this session so I was a little iffy as to how things would work out for this recording. I've become a bit obsessed with always playing new music and keeping the right pacing and the flow of a mix according to my own standards. Sometimes I forget that it's fun as a DJ to just kind of let loose and rely on what you know and go with it. At the moment I haven't listened back to this session yet, but I was having fun while playing. Sometimes that's really what matters most.

Eric Riggsbee is a veteran DJ, with 27 years of experience and the Founder of the event production company FAULTLINE SESSIONS out of San Francisco, CA and Portland, OR.

Eric hosts the FAULTLINE SESSIONS mix series, a place for DJ's across the world to showcase various forms of the Broken Beat.

Eric was instrumental in the early to mid 2000’s Breaks scene in San Francisco, playing with Breakthru and regularly featured in the now infamous Eklektic / Hektic weekly.  

Eric moved to Portland in 2021 and is bringing his refined transitions, tight programming and impeccable track selection to the Rose City.
