I feel like the music here represents where I'm at both in my mind and in my spirit. Guest Mix Vol. 159 (Colin Pierce aka NYL0C) Live Liquid Session

Just like the year 2022, this last LLL session had some definite ups and downs 😆  Over the 2 hours I made my way through some soulful liquid, some spacey stuff, some high energy liquid, some tech rollers, some deep neuro bits, some bigger dancefloor bangers and ending back into some deep heady rollers. As they say, "a little bit of everything". As always it's been a pleasure bringing these sessions to you on a weekly basis. It means everything to me that you regularly put aside time on your Saturday to tune into my stream. It makes the time I spend collecting, archiving and curating music in preparation for these sessions absolutely worth it. I performed this set at Miami's Burning Man Fundraiser "6th Degree Burn" on July 6th, 2019. I played alongside Phutureprimitive, Soohan, Subsqwad, Momentology and Bebe. What a night it was!! Pure Liquid VI - Impression

It felt good to be back behind the wheels this week after an extremely hectic work week for me. One bonus result of having to skip last week's stream is that I had amassed an extra fat stack of new music. The downside of that is the feared "paralysis of choice" scenario where I start second guessing what to play and risk sounding unfocused. To counteract that I tried to stick to my classic formula of deeper organic feelgood liquid bops in the first hour, and moving into the darker tech synth material after the halfway point. I think it  worked out pretty good in the end. Great times hanging with the homies in the chat.

After a super hectic work week I had very little time to prep for this session so I was a little iffy as to how things would work out for this recording. I've become a bit obsessed with always playing new music and keeping the right pacing and the flow of a mix according to my own standards. Sometimes I forget that it's fun as a DJ to just kind of let loose and rely on what you know and go with it. At the moment I haven't listened back to this session yet, but I was having fun while playing. Sometimes that's really what matters most.
