DR276 with his thunderous Jungle Breaks monster; 'History ft. Titania'. A melodic intro with lush pads and synths wind its way into a gritty, gnarly jungle breaks number that rolls deep! On the flip-side; the ever-talented Perpetual Present keeps things deep with the pads and synths but  drops his  version into some thumping tech breaks drums that will slap you silly. Performed live Neoblue DJ set in Northern California at the Northern Exposure (April 2023) collaborative event presented by Shasta Vibes in collaboration with our crew of badass deck ninjas....1200 Hustle NorCal.  This breakbeat session is a fun breakdancin' "pop n' lock" fusion of modern funky soulful breaks blended  with a healthy serving of oldschool 808 drum kit percussion syncopations that inspire feelings of nostalgia from the breakbeat boots born in the Detroit and New York underground breakbeat warehouse parties of the 80's and early 90's. After a super hectic work week I had very little time to prep for this session so I was a little iffy as to how things would work out for this recording. I've become a bit obsessed with always playing new music and keeping the right pacing and the flow of a mix according to my own standards. Sometimes I forget that it's fun as a DJ to just kind of let loose and rely on what you know and go with it. At the moment I haven't listened back to this session yet, but I was having fun while playing. Sometimes that's really what matters most.

Eric Riggsbee is a veteran DJ, with 27 years of experience and the Founder of the event production company FAULTLINE SESSIONS out of San Francisco, CA and Portland, OR.

Eric hosts the FAULTLINE SESSIONS mix series, a place for DJ's across the world to showcase various forms of the Broken Beat.

Eric was instrumental in the early to mid 2000’s Breaks scene in San Francisco, playing with Breakthru and regularly featured in the now infamous Eklektic / Hektic weekly.
