Hailing down from The Hague, he is currently one of Orphic’s three residents, we are happy to welcome Lobster on this serie.

 Through his 6 years experience of playing at organisations such as Vault Sessions and Reaktor, he knows how to read a crowd and adapt to it. 
His sound can be characterised as energetic and versatile, but still maintaining a unique and recognizable Lobster groove. 

While making big steps in the industry as a dj, he now spends most of his time in his home-build studio.

Nørbak’s crucial role in today’s techno environment derives from a strong sense of commitment and hard working attitude which he guides towards his musical passion. The Portuguese artist makes use of a thorough knowledge of classic techno and fuses it with modern sound design, the result of which is a signature sound that has seen worldwide support from tier-1 artists and mammoth labels such as Soma Records, Warm Up Recordings and Mord.

His continued evolution and forward thinking posture can be felt deeply in his debut album ’Flesh to Ashes’, where he seamlessly combines a dancefloor attitude with the experimentalism of IDM, but also at Hayes Collective, a tour-de-force techno label where he is a pivotal member.

Lastly, Artur’s progress and musical prowess have brought with it the opportunity to collaborate with artists he respects, namely Pfirter on ‘Life, Truth, Freedom, Fear’ (out on Mindtrip Music), Lewis Fautzi, for whom he remixed ‘State of Pressure’ (out on Soma Records) and Oscar Mulero.

Destroy was produced in London, in a moment where the artist had a lot of changes in life. The track was produced with the help of a friend and was also inspired by events happening in life, for example curating an event production in a nightclub and the attempt to successfully launch the artist brand in the music industry. A curious fact is that Destroy has been feature on numerous viral videos on Facebook, Reaching from 20M counted views, thru the series “Techno Grandma” and “Cooking Techno”.

The track immediately makes an impact with a rolling arp that is evolving and moving thru the whole song. 
The mood is immediately set into a positive, uplifting, journey, evolving into an explosive release of high energy through a rising evolution of synths, while they interact within each other. 
The song is produced with the intent of conveying the sense of a movement that is never ending and always pointed towards expansion of ourselves, it has the purpose of accompanying someone while he enjoys moments in life. The Arrangement and composition is minimalistic and curated with the purpose of making an impact without overusing too many instruments, yet just keeping it simple and focusing on details, as that’s what makes a great life moment successful.

Felix Kröcher has been one of the best-known techno greats in the German-speaking world for many years. Known for more than 100 shows a year, on the biggest stages, like the SonneMondSterne Festival, Nature One, or Mayday, Felix is known for his musical releases on labels like Terminal M, Filth On Acid, or Suara.

After a very successful and musical year 2021, Felix Kröcher is now releasing his last track for this year. His new single "Obsession" will be released on 10 December on his label "We Are The Night".   

His previous releases of the year "I Am The Night", "Passion", "Vision" and "Fusion" thematized Felix's deep connection to nightlife and the start into a new reality after the pandemic. These thoughts and feelings not only gave rise to the idea for his podcast "We Are The Night", but also formed the basis for his own label "We Are The Night".   

His new single "Obsession" is meant to reflect the great passion and obsession Felix has for music, nightlife and DJing. Felix Kröcher plays well over 100 shows a year, which makes it clear that this is not just a job for him. Being a DJ is his purpose in life, his obsession, what Felix is all about and what he is "addicted" to. No weekend in the year goes untried to be filled with a gig. For Felix, no way is too far to spend the night with his fans. Spending the weekend at home? That's out of the question for Felix.    

"Obsession" is a typical techno track à la Felix Kröcher. Straightforward kick accompanied by a powerful bassline. In the break, a warm, euphoric synth melody sets in, followed by an energetic drop.

Drumcode returns with its 6th installment of the internationally celebrated A-Sides series. Renowned for fostering a shared space between industry tastemakers and rising talent alike, the careful curation that goes into each volume is a fine example of why Beyer’s brand continues to go from strength to strength.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has grown Drumcode into a force to be reckoned with; the label has become synonymous with forward-thinking, functional techno and even after 20 years, Drumcode continues to find new boundaries to push, and ways to solidify its legacy as the world’s number one techno label. 

2017 is no exception, with Beyer’s imprint hosting it’s first stage at Tomorrowland, not to mention the expansion of the critically acclaimed Junction 2 where the Drumcode stage is the centrepiece and Adam plays the key role of festival director. The Drumcode phenomenon continues to grow each week, chiefly fuelled by Drumcode Radio, Adam’s radio show that’s broadcast in 57 countries via 86 stations and to a global audience of 16 million techno fans per week. 

The A-Sides series acts as a perfect vignette of Drumcode’s cutting-edge sound; functional yet inspired techno, all tracks tried and tested by Beyer himself. Vol. 6 continues this tradition with a collection of 16 multi-faceted cuts from a mixture of both emerging artists and experienced label friends. 

The heart-throbbing bass in Amelie Lens’ electrifying piece ‘In Silence’ sets the tone for the dark and dance-floor-ready energy that Vol.6 carries the whole way through. Other standouts include Mars Bill’s rough’n’ready ‘Mohave’. Pulsating and precise, ‘Mohave’ has highlighted many of Beyer’s sets recently as has Wehbba’s monster track ‘Fake’, which fans have been anticipating the release of all year. 

Label-favourites Dense & Pika also feature on ‘A-Sides’ Vol. 6 with their hard-hitting ‘Just a Beat’ and a huge track from Beyer himself who has joined forces with Enrico Sangiuliano to bring us their undeniably infectious ‘Preset Heaven’. 

With many more notable selections from the likes of Julian Jewell, Timmo, Tiger Stripes and Pig&Dan, A-Sides Vol. 6 is another impressive addition to the label’s prolific release roster and a testament to why Drumcode remains at the forefront of the electronic world.
