Tokyo’s Risa Taniguchi returns to Chris Liebing’s CLR with the ‘So Loud’ EP. The two-track EP follows up a collaborative EP with Black Asteroid on the label in 2022.

Risa Taniguchi’s title track to her ‘So Loud’ EP on CLR is a brilliantly alluring, stripped-back workout built on thudding kicks. The twitchy synth motifs bring a foreboding atmosphere next to raw percussion, all elements creeping in intensity. The electrifying 'Emission' brings more nervous energy with fizzing synths layering in rich texture over clacking hits and rolling bass. Pan-Pot proudly present the third and final part of the FORTE Remixes on their imprint Second State Audio, featuring reinterpretations by Planetary Assault Systems and Obscure Shape that showcase an innovative and mind-twisting approach to the German duo’s critically acclaimed singles from 2023.

The EP kicks off with Obscure Shape’s ‘CORE (Peak Remix)’, a tribal groovy 90’s inspired techno workout. The deep chord sequence from the original track forms the melodic theme, creating a colorful, epic and emotional atmosphere. With a big bassline supporting the groove, this track is a perfect closer for a sunset set, or to infuse some warmth, color, and energy into the dancefloor. Following this is Planetary Assault Systems’ ‘ARC (Rumble Jungle Remix)’, a seven-minute evolving trip into the sonic world of the genius of Luke Slater. This remix delivers an incredible reinterpretation with a forward-pushing groove, rolling rhythms, a hypnotic sequence and the iconic vocal loop from the original Pan-Pot track. On the flip side, Obscure Shape returns with ‘CORE (Reduced Remix)’, characterized by its captivating rolling top drum groove, stomping kick and incisive bass sequence. A plucked lead evolves throughout the track, while the original vocal sample repeating "paralyzed" adds variation. The EP concludes with Planetary Assault Systems’ ‘ARC (Stomp Maker Remix)’, a harder alternative version of the remix featuring a stompy kick groove, saturated and distorted percussions, and an evolving hypnotic percussive lead. The engaging and intense drum pattern, along with the iconic vocal loop and a bleepy sequence, catapults listeners into a new dimension of sonic depth.

When LINUS QUICK decided to take up music production in 2004, the portfolio of the Offenburg-based DJ was already quite diverse. His musical socialization ranges from a variety of electronic music to touch points in Acid House, Techno and some in between. This is where Linus found home which is a place he has been strengthening with regular studio recordings for almost a decade. 

In 2006 LINUS QUICK released his first track which was followed by numerous productions, co-productions and remixes on different labels. They all emphasize the artist’s creativity, dedication, diversity and flexibility. All of these aspects have been surfacing when implementing his sound at live shows. The continuous advance of his persona as live act and the passion he shows when presenting his minimal techno to the audience take LINUS QUICK to the best clubs in Germany but also to many other important locations outside these borders.

In 2013, LINUS QUICK became part of the Abstract Booking family and enjoyed large events such as MAYDAY and released his third studio album “Presence” via Wayward Music. This man registered some great achievements so far and he is up to new endeavors …

Now an internationally successful DJ, Eric Sneo started learning to play musical instruments from a young age, after his grandfather introduced him to an accordion at only the age of 4, he went on to experiment with drums after buying a drum kit in his teenage years and started to attend local jazz shows, where he really learned how to improvise. In 1991 he saw Sven Vath playing in Frankfurt, and it was here when he fell in love with what he was listening to, and wanted to know more.

With his unique performances on the E-drums during his DJ sets, Eric swiftly developed into a distinctive and highly sought after international performer with his unforgettable sets. After he presented his unique “Art of Life” show at the Nature One Festival (2009) for the first time, he gained rave reviews throughout an exclusive festival tour of the show in the summer 2010 and 2011. Eric can combine his trademark groovy technoid DJ style with his live performance of a range of acoustic and electronic instruments, including E-Drums, E-accordion, percussion & didgeridoo.

In 2011 he launched his new Mudra Audio label, where he released his critically acclaimed album “Polarity” in March 2012. Supported by international artists like Laurent Garnier, Len Faki, Dubfire, Luciano, Gabriel Ananda and Cari Lekebusch, the album was highly successful, so much so much so, that Umek signed the album track “Shut Up & Dance” as a single for his 1605 label, which was released in August 2012.

With his successful “Move On” EP in 2013, he became a member of Christian Smith’s respected, forward-thinking Tronic family, a move that led to him to his 5th album of his career “Intensity’ which was released on Tronic in 2014. Much acclaimed support lead to a steady stream of hits on Tronic, with his “Move On” and “Metanoia” tracks remixed by Pig&Dan, Paco Osuna and Mendo.

Eric has announced he will be released his next album, which will be his second on Tronic in February 2017 with ‘Sound Traveler’. Featuring 14 original tracks which show Eric’s eagerness for experimentation. Providing full bodied beats and rolling basslines, closing the gap between tech-house and techno.
