Back in 2013 I went to Bass Coast for the first time as a volunteer and instantly fell in love with this magical place. Since then it was a goal of mine to play that beautiful festival and last summer I got invited to play a sunrise set.

Nate Ptaskiewicz hailing from Denver, Colorado is on the rise with his massive distinctive sound rippling through the underground dubstep scene. Producing and mixing music for 5 years now, he has steadily been putting out weighty content on many labels such as Dank and Dirty, The WiddFam, and Deep Dark and Dangerous. Welcome to Hydra Radio, a multi-genre mix series showcasing Hydra artists and special guests! Volume XXV features our good friend - Die by the Sword! 

Hailing from Chicago and residing in Colorado, lifelong multi-instrumentalist turned Producer/DJ Connor Cogswell debuted Die By The Sword in 2019 and has proved he is here to stay. With support from his biggest influences like Caspa, Truth, and J:Kenzo, DBTS has earned several accolades such as numerous spots on the Beatport Top 100 Tracks for 140 / Deep Dubstep / Grime, being billed alongside legendary DJs such as NERO, Of The Trees, The Widdler, and playing renown US venues and festivals such as Meow Wolf Denver, Infrasound Music Festival, Sound Haven Music Festival, and The Black Box.  

We're honored to share this mix, and still reeling from the clinic that DBTS put on for us in Reno with Distinct Motive.  Individual set and the B2B they put on is a core memory for the Reno Dubstep community - absolute madness!
