Continuously trying to exceed his own limits, MARRØN employs fast rhythmics inspired by his roots. The artist’s moniker pays homage to the strong-willed MARRØN’s, a once-enslaved African tribe who defied oppression and found freedom in the primeval forests of Surinam. The hypnotic, percussive beats characterizing MARRØN’s foundational Afro Deep style have evolved to form a singular conception of techno. His dynamic take on the genre is at home in the underground, most notably in his role as co-founder and resident of Amsterdam’s Eerste Communie.

Alphabet Podcast 018 - MARRØN

Lolsnake, also known as Danielle Lumma Rahal, is a Berlin-based Iraqi-American DJ and visual artist. As the founder of the Berlin queer party series Weeeirdos, which holds an ongoing residency at Säule Berlin, Lolsnake has carved out a unique space in the city's vibrant music scene.

In their special podcast for Pornceptual, Lolsnake dives into the multifaceted layers of dance music. For this special mix, they put together a mood that is a little bit darker and energetic yet sexy - "something that you can either pre-party with or watch pornography to".

The series is presented by Rakans: Beirut-born and Berlin-based, Rakans, founder of the Queer collective Rawmantique. He is also a Pornceptual resident. Rakans not only curates the podcast series but also conducts interviews with participating artists.

Metrocat has been on the Taro radar for a while now, first as a remixer, then with a single track for Taro Extra, now with a full EP. His music embodies the vibe of the main label, tough but adventurous with nods to the past, present and future. Family remixes are provided by label heads Syrette and firm friend OB1, both going in harder in their own ways.
