Mindspring Music Presents: Spiral Minded - Reverse Skyward Gaze [MSM106]

'Reverse Skyward Gaze' is a natural step forward, as Spiral Minded further expands and solidifies his identity as a producer. Each track is sure to provide dreamy textures, compelling melodies, and a wide range of moods, all held up by solid bass and crisp percussion. The first three tracks in this album were written in 2019, released as an EP entitled 'Impossible Colors', and further revised for this release. They show broader experimentation, as one will hear influences of rock, jazz, and hip-hop throughout. The second half was written in early 2021. These three tracks round out the album with a fine representation of Spiral Minded's blend of spaciously psychedelic dub and downtempo. As a whole, 'Reverse Skyward Gaze' is a testament to the small and quiet moments when we see the wonder in our world. Moments when you gaze into the sky in awe and wonder, for a short time the feeling is mutual, and the sky gazes back.
