The Rest makes a new album.

On August 28 1994 "The Rest" released it’s first and so far latest album "Domestic Affairs". 
In 1995 the album was nominated for a Grammy Award in the USA but was almost completely ignored by Dutch and international media and did not enjoy the success it most certainly deserved to get.
Now, more than 21 years later, the band is recording a second album named “Parkroad Cafe”, which takes place in producer Erik Kuijlaars' Parkroad Studio in Voorburg, South Holland. 
"The Rest", featuring: Polle Eduard, Len Bouman, Beau Wassenbergh and Hans Vermeulen, allows you the opportunity to follow this process by releasing a song of the new album about every 6 weeks on the band's facebook page. 
Later the complete album will be released on vinyl, so no need to download, just wait for the album.

Update van de rest, we hebben een tijd rustig aan gedaan, deels door mijn herstel van de chemo-ellende,het gaat overigens goed met mij,en erik was ook druk met het opstarten van "parkroad cafe"
het nieuwe nummer heet "hard on me"geschreven door mij en ton v. kesteren, bij het voltooien,hebben we hulp gekregen van lachy doley(australische hammond virtuoos) en ron knoester op gitaar.
het nummer gaat over een relatie , die out of the blue misgaat, in dit geval voor de man, polle, beau en ik zijn zeker van plan nog wat nummers op te nemen, veel plezieren enjoy. Len Bouman
