This is a clip from the second last hour of a four-hour set that I played on a Sunday morning in the beginning of July 2021. The party was located just outside Copenhagen. During the first three hours the mixer distorted the recorded sound because the sound was peaking just as much as the party was peaking. The set is all about bright, energizing Detroit techno- and electro with an ending that consists of UR classics. It was a dusty and happy crowd dancing in the morning mist. People were really maxing out their needs. The crowd had an obvious desire to dance together after too much waiting. It was a hunger for going all out after the boring Cov19 lockdown. We had so much fun that night and morning. I played from 05 to 09 at this party while I played a two-hour set at another afterparty earlier that night. Playing that many hours was really inspiring. The more I played the more the music was flowing. Fellow DJs are talking about being "In the zone". Well, we were definitely "In the zone". How is it possible to perform so many hours you may ask? It was a continuous flow of energy to and from the crowd. In addition, the context was strongly contributing; among others the smell of dirt and grass, skies of dust, and the heat of the sun.

The event is arranged by the start-up NGO "Project LifeWard", and the proceeds of the event will be donated to construct a health-center in Bududa, eastern Uganda.

The people of Bududa struggle with basic necessities and must traverse 20 kilometers of mountainous and rough terrain in order to receive medical assistance and services.

It is for this reason that Project LifeWard has decided to initiate its work by delivering aid to this district, where a small organization can have the highest possible impact, as well as reaching an area which is untended by other humanitarian efforts.

The plan for the project in the district is to first construct a health center with the possibility of it being upgraded to a hospital in the future.

Baraka has always been synonymous with "lucky star". And it is true that you can find some of that in this duo. In 2020, as the world prepared to go into lockdown, Cristofeu (DJ and producer) and sa+ga (DJ, singer, poet, author) got together to compose a series of tracks featuring poetic vocals, acid sounds and synthetic layers. You can feel the influence of trance, trip-hop, drum'n'bass and artists such as Prodigy, Massive Attack, and even Björk. But it is on stage that Baraka's music really comes into its own. Capable of transforming a concert hall into a dancefloor or building up a club’s energy to the level of a punk show, the duo electrifies every venue they play at: from the Berghain/Panorama Bar (Berlin) to the Trabendo (Paris), from Positive Education festival (Saint-Étienne) to Boiler Room.
