A first 'dramatic reading' of a poem I wrote from the perspective of the Fraser River. I travelled to the underworld to witness a courtroom drama among Indigenous creatures and legends. It is a experience of one woman listening and commenting on the 'third era of industrialization of the Fraser River' as Otto Langer has named it. She accepts to go deep below the river floor through the forth dimension, time. She is afraid yet agrees to go, she trusts the river. She returns to tell the distressing tale of the design of a tunnel and the ensuing story of her experience.

The late Rachel Carson was for many years a marine biologies and then editor-in-chief of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. She was also the author of Silent Spring, Under the Sea Wind and At the Edge of the Sea.
