A cover of "You Know What You Are" from Ministry's 1988 album "The Land of Rape and Honey." The sample shouting the title of the song is from "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" (as also used in the original Ministry version).

New Age of Reason

Dead When I Found Her's cover version of the unreleased Skinny Puppy song "Kill To Cure," which they performed live on the Head Trauma Tour in 1988. 
There is no studio recording of this track by Skinny Puppy, and the lyrics vary wildly from show to show. This cover version is largely based on the Ljubljana performance from 5.07.1988, both musically and lyrically.
Due to large inconsistencies in the audio quality of the original live recording, some lyrics have been taken from transcriptions of other performances on the same tour.

DWIFH posted 5 possible cover-song nominees on the DWIFH facebook page and let fans vote which classic song would get the DWIFH cover-treatment. "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins won by a landslide, beating out both Bowie (Ashes to Ashes) and Peter Gabriel (Shock the Monkey) among others.

A cover of Skinny Puppy's 'Dead Lines' from the 'Bites' album.

This cover is really more of a literal re-creation of the original than a re-interpretation of it (the latter process being the usual route I take when doing covers). However, this project was more of a production exercise, in which I used a small number of software instruments to specifically re-create the sounds, sequences and production style of one of my all-time favorite songs. It was a great learning experience, and turned out better than I expected.

Software Instruments: analog (ableton synth), g-force Minimonsta, g-force M-Tron Pro
drums were done with Ableton Drum Racks and samples

this will be the last track on the album. I'm still messing around with the last part, specifically whether vocals will run through that whole section, or just the latter half of it. we'll see.
