Gorje Hewek is a Bulgarian-born, Germany-based DJ and music producer who made his name in the gentle percussive electronics of Organic House. His debut for us, a collaboration with fellow Germany-based artist ETNE was a blissful rework of Robert Miles’ Children that has just been crowned the #1 selling Organic House release of 2024. As his stature has grown, the parties he is playing have followed suit. This has seen him move his left-field house into tougher realms. Likeminded artists and labels (Adam Ten, Maccabi House, Diynamic) have taken this sound and congregated in the Indie Dance genre; Hewek’s recent stand-out release with Rony Seikaly on Watergate has only enhanced his reputation in this space. Joining him on this release is Just Fine (a collaboration between ETNE and Mike Spirit).
You get no prizes for guessing that this is a rework of the mid-noughties Killers anthem. What you do get is a brilliantly throbbing version of a song that will resonate on most dancefloors with a superb breakdown and a drop that will have your crowd punching the air with delight.
