Berlin-based Irish artist Hybrasil returns to Rekids with four murky techno cuts in ‘We Don’t Flip’.

Having made numerous appearances on Rekids including ‘Embers’, his debut album released last year, Hybrasil has become a core artist on Matt Edwards’s label when not releasing on his very own eponymous imprint. Reflecting on an amazingly creative 2019, at the start of this year Hybrasil set a new creative path for his future live shows, writing new music that received regular support from Radio Slave, which is what ultimately shaped this new four-track release.

‘We Don’t Flip’ opens the package with an immediate shadowy aesthetic before rattling kicks, off-beat hats and snappy snares lay down the groove as distorted vocal murmurs join delayed synths. ‘Hour Glass’ is next with its syncopated rhythm and quivering pads before ‘Ikigai’ takes things into wonkier territories courtesy of subtle melodies, metallic atmospherics and dubby chords. Tying everything together, ‘System H’ takes things up a notch, adding extra oomph to the package using powerful drums, rippling bass and deep stabs.

Alex Mine isn't new to anyone who has been following SCI+TEC. Since his debut release in 2013, the Italian mastermind has become a regular on the label, including a feature on the 10 Years Of SCI+TEC compilation. Three tracks out August 14, mixed with natural energy and rhythm drum patterns, as is usual with Alex Mine.

A well-chosen vocal sample leads 'Five Vibe' together with a modern and groovy bassline. Caal built their mix around the vocal but giving it a 2021 twist. 

'No Dither' is something introspective with a sexy vocal, the perfect track to keep the people dancing until the sun rises up.

notes for everyone. After an incredible re-launch that saw the label releasing with well respected
artists of the scene,coming up next, is techno architect Mladen Tomic who produced 'The Rule of
Friday EP' consisting of two original tracks and one remix by Fer BR.
Having performed successfully in several live dj sets for The Bedroom events in Athens, Mladen
Tomic (co-owner of Night Light Records) managed to deliver a mesmerizing odyssey straight into
the middle of the mind's eye of music with 'The Rule of Friday' which comes as the first track of
this release.Kicks in with a heavy beat, catchy melody and some back vox that are slowly
introduced. It is not long, when the rhythm gets a round shape with some nice sharp hi-hats and
other FX elements. The drops are one of a kind and get well along with synth arrangements, the
snare rolls fill in, building up the peak -making the mix an emotional trigger on the dancefloor and
so.
Enlisting the incredible assistance of the multi- talent & supreme skills of fellow techno specialist
Fer BR with a remix version of “The Rule Of Friday''. The remix artist unveils a more tech essence
to the track along with insatiably addictive low-end hooks designed to keep the party goin' long
and strong. Groovy beats with claps and hats,pumping kick, playful baseline and original synths
mixed into a new uplifting version among with vocal cuts perfectly broken down into the track,
making a memorable impact on listeners.
Through the remarkable exploratory sounds and depths to the digital rhythms and grooves
Mladen Tomic creates on “Fire Drill” is second to none. Dark and fast rhythm throughout the
opening, deep bass that sits nicely around low end kick along with a sound loop playing
underneath. Pulsating synths are later introduced and cymbals that come in and out.Drops with
pitch alteration,new mysterious fx sounds and sonic structures that are guaranteed to move the
mind, body, and soul .

For our all-important first release of 2021, we welcome Warung back to Yoshitoshi with their latest EP, titled ‘In My Mind’. Supported by Deep Dish on their livestreams.
Since their debut on Yoshitoshi with “Memora” on last year’s Four Points IV EP, Boston-based production duo Warung has been on a rapid rise. Aside from handling remix duties for Wolf Story & Dantiez Saunderson’s “Peak” for Yoshitoshi, the pair has made some notable drops, including a collaboration with Nox Vahn on Above & Beyond’s Anjunadeep imprint. 
The title track “In My Mind” pulls you into the unique hypnotic world of Warung, with an infectious baseline, and airy vocals that loop in your head interspersed with images of happy dancing people with hands in the air in a smoke-filled club. 
"Loathing in Dub" is a pure tune that can easily fit into a deep house set, grounded with gritty stabs, and synths that can make any poolside party groove with joy.

Bringing in serious heat heading towards Spring 2021 Origins Rcrds head honcho Josh Butler joins forces with long time friend and fellow hit maker, Bontan, for their first release together in nearly 4 years to deliver something to Set Your Soul On Fire.

The pair last teamed up together in 2017 and the result was Call You Back, which dropped on Origins and went on to become one of Beatports biggest ever selling tracks.
