VINGT HEURES TRENTE is a Paris-based electronic artist. He is strongly inspired by the sounds and aesthetics of the early 80's, notably the visual identities of French TV stations, at the frontier between the declining analog melancholic warmth and the rising first digital experiments. He mainly uses analog and modular synthesizers to craft ambiant and experimental music. VINGT HEURES TRENTE notably explores the imperative of instantness these instruments imply, in the absence of any memory to recall settings and their high instability, forcing to record the sounds right away without what they will be gone forever.
 
His debut EP "MAN IN THE MIDDLE" depicts the constant struggle to find a precarious balance in one's life, between childhood and maturity, urges and frustrations, or individuality and society.

The EP is realised in collaboration with @beholderss, an electronic duo from Ravenna, Italy.

This 3 tracks release based on Dante's journey (Divina Commedia) will be available worldwide on every streaming platforms and Bandcamp.

Each track will be 3:33 long, recalling the structure of the 3 sections (Inferno, Purgatorio, Paradiso) made of 33 chants.

The cover is a beautiful black and white hand-made illustration drawn by the italian artist @ranilauillustration.

Erik Strauss is an italian DJ, music composer and visual artist.

His early exposure to disco and funk vinyls sparked a deep love of electronic music, especially underground and minimal genres. As he grew older, his passion for music composition evolved, leading him to experiment with sounds from various genres: inspired by the multifaceted David Bowie, the Miles Davis' jazz and the trip-hop style of Massive Attack and Portishead.

Erik Strauss has published many singles and EPs under Level One Records, Nuit Blanche, Ubiquity Records and Deep Electronics.

His first album "Urbanature" (featuring artist such Ryal and The Gardener) includes the single "Darkside (a way to come back)" which is "A masterfully produced cut we keep on coming back to" (XLR8R).
