The reason for this is that there are just too many good tracks, which I want to include in my sets.
My monthly radio-show for MDR Sputnik gives me the opportunity to feature new tracks, but also those tracks people have already forgotten about.

Nicola Romeo:
The Italian Nicola Romeo was born 13.06.1979 in Hanau. When he was a boy it was certain that he had the music flowing through his veins. In 1997 he discovered his love and passion: electronic beats. He was inspired by Clubs like Omen, the Box and the Dorian. His sound reaches from Deep House to rhythmic Tech House. His first experience as a DJ took place in the Frankfurt club scene, the MTW and even Monza. Soon he had gigs abroad as well. He performed in Austria, Turkey, Italy and the Netherlands. In 2003, fuessewackeln.de was born. It’s an event series which is very successful in the Main Kinzig area. Today, Nicola is a constant part of the electronic scene in Frankfurt. Since October 2012 he also manages the even series “We are together”, taking place at Dora Brilliant in Frankfurt. But that’s still not everything. Apart from his first release at Get Physical’s “kindisch label” he will also be representing Dj Mags’ Promo-Compilation.

Pablito:
Pablito was born on 3 July, 1988 in southern Italy. In his early ages, he already discovered his passion for music. When he was eleven years old, he was given a Synthesizer. This instrument changed his whole view of music. He began to dig in a new world, the electronic music. He loves to play, hear and work with it. It developed an impressive musical career which results with a 39. Rank in the top 100 Beatport Minimal Charts in August 2011 with a EP of the well known “no-Logik records” label. This EP was released by Deniele Petronelli. His new piece “What the Phunk” was released by DJ Pablito and “no-Logik x-mas 2011” in December 2011. This happened with the support of some very popular international DJs, like Koen Groeneveld, VAN DER Zvan Addy, Daniele Petronelli, Alex Young, Laidback Luke, BINGO PLAYERS, Emrah Celik, Louie CUT, Angy Kore, Mario Miranda, Mark Ramsey, Andrés Gil , MIN & MAL, Natalino Nunes and many more. Along 2012 Pablito performed in popular clubs like the Cocoon, Tanzhaus West, the Papierfabrik, ss radio London and some festivals in turkey. He continues his journey with modesty while hoping to reach the olymp of DJs some day…

The first release is courtesy of Mennie. Together with production partners Bambook he kept a Top 5 position for months with the track „Slip Away“ in the Beatport Deephouse Chart. 

With a forthcoming remix for Scuba on Circus Recordings and more original material, the future is looking bright for this newcomer from Florence. DJMag Italy recently named him one of the most representative Italian emerging house producers. He holds a residency in Club999 where he shares the decks with many international DJs and keeps continueing playing 5 hour sets.

German duo Guido Schneider & Jens Bond have been collaborating for quite some time now with releases together surfacing on Poker Flat, Contexterrior / Tuning Spork, Highgrade and Cadenza since 2005. Here we see the pairing delivering some exciting new material via the Amam imprint, bringing their raw and percussive led style back into the limelight.

Title track ‘If You’ sees the duo deliver a bumpy percussive groove laid out over eight minutes with swirling atmospheric sweeps and expansive organic sounds, while Konrad Black’s ‘Rock Dust Remix’ remoulds the original number into something hypnotic and mesmerising with penetrating bass, bubbling percussion and sweeping pads. The latter half then sees two more originals provided from Schneider & Bond, firstly ‘Walk To Walk’ lays the focus on unfolding reverb bursts, shadowy vocal murmurs and howling bass stabs, while closing track ‘Trippin’, as the name would suggest, provides a mind-bending and psychedelia infused techno composition to tails things out.

We've got a tasty exclusive for you today from Luxxury. His much lauded edit of 'Riders On The Storm' made some waves last year and then it vanished into a haze of legal ambiguity and only strong supporters of the track like Greg Wilson had it. Well we've got our hands on a live remix version from one of his 'Live Remix' shows to give you. His first every European Tour is coming up in September and I look forward to seeing this one in person. The first show of the tour is a show at Festival Number 6 where he's playing the Super Weird Happening Stage. 

Luxxury's version is one of the most interesting edits we've heard for a long time. Sultry as hell with vocoder vocals and a feeling that echoes in your head long after the track has finished. His additions are beautifully produced and this version brings to the fore background melodies from the original and puts them front and centre. Accomplished stuff
