Erin Mason is a country/folk-pop artist emerging in the Southeast as a deeply lyrical voice across genres. Her library of original work tells stories of the heart and human condition, written with depth. Sometimes witty, sometimes solemn, but always capturing listeners with a distinctively engaging, honest, Southern-soulful style. 

Writing and performing her first song publicly at age eight, Erin studied piano in the studios of Renee McKee, a former concert pianist. When Mrs. McKee interviewed her for a space in the studio and asked the precocious second grader why she was taking piano, Erin declared "I write songs and I need to know how to play the piano to go with them."

Erin began building her library as a teenager writing alone and through songwriting collaborations, including work with Grammy-award winner Sarah Peasall, Austin Rife, Teri Mullen Haigh, Lauren McLamb and others.

During high school, she worked shows as a solo act, and in an award-winning girl-band she formed and managed focussed on tight harmonies called Penny Road. Among Penny Road's first gigs was an acoustic set at the newly-formed Cary Farmer's Market, where they were tipped in baskets of peaches by the surrounding vendors. 

More recently, she gathers an eclectic group of musician to join her in venues in the Southeast as she balances life as a country artist with the demands of academic life as a Chancellor's Scholar at Appalachian State University. Most nights you can find her joined on stage by mesmerizing harmonies from Morgan Muir, jamming with Jake Kennedy or Ian Barry, and welcoming other local standouts along for the ride. Morgan and Jake joined her in 2015 for her Debut EP, Reckless, at Two Egret Studios, produced by Mike Garrigan.

When she's not on the road singing or in her flat studying, she bakes killer cookies, hikes the Appalachians, and loves watching cute faces of baby animals. Not afraid to get her hands dirty for a good cause, she can also be found trading out the microphone for a hammer and overalls, where she has worked on rehabilitation projects in Raleigh, Chattanooga, and overseas.
