Eri Soul's debut Gospel Soul single entitled "Free" is about the Freedom she has received through Jesus Christ. Eri Soul took a hiatus from music and many believed her to be in some kind of bondage. However, the were misguided in their thoughts. She has never been more freer. John 8:36, Who the Son therefore sets free, is truly free indeed.

Eri Soul is a singer, songwriter, musician and artist. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 22, 1999 to parents Glynn Sewell and Erinn Porter. When Eri was 8, her parents separated and she moved with her mother and family to Atlanta, Georgia. When she got to Atlanta, Soul began to play guitar. She attended Carver School of the Arts in 9th grade to focus her attention on music. While attending Carver, she met producer and fellow songwriter, Jay-mo Dejon. A kindred spirit, on his own musical journey. They would go on to create a plethora of projects including albums ‘Emotions’, 2020’s ‘Eden’, from which came the motivational single ‘Uniquely Made’ and now for 2021, ‘Up Close’. Eri Soul is also a wife and mother of two children, Eden (2), and Emma (1).
