Rob Clouth's Clockwork Atom EP, the eleventh release from Berlin-based record label, Berghain residency, and nomadic party-starters Leisure System, is a triumph of emotional composition and twisted beats. Recalling Jon Hopkins at his fiercest and Autechre at their most melodic, Clouth has put together something special for peak-time and morning-afters alike, three timeless tracks with bass to massage your ears and melodies to warm your heart.

The Barcelona-based glitch expert Rob Clouth has released music under both his given name and the alias Vaetxh on labels such as Traum Schallplatten, King Deluxe, and Detroit Underground. In addition to Clouth's music work, he's also a relentless tinkerer and audio architect, designing multiple pieces of experimental software and hardware, including recent work with digitally painting waveforms. This release on Leisure System arose from a desire to better integrate his two distinct recording aliases in one project, emphasizing the dancefloor-focused elements without abandoning past experimentation.

Iconoclastic Buddhist Línjì Yìxuán once remarked, "The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on earth." This profound statement serves as a reminder of the sheer beauty of our planet. We often take for granted the ground beneath our feet and the simple wonders that our ecosystem supports. Everyday activities like walking under a blue sky, feeling the breeze on our skin, or listening to a songbird's melody remind us that Earth is a precious host offering endless marvels.

"Breath," the latest album by Bordeaux-based producer Frank Zaragoza under his Ocoeur project, is a heartfelt tribute to these earthly wonders. This album, perhaps his most sincere and ambitious to date, comprises seven tracks that reflect Zaragoza's deep appreciation for the world around us. "Breath" is tranquil, peaceful, and meditative, yet its expansive, cinematic scope evokes vivid images of Earth's stunning landscapes. The album is both elegantly captivating and a poignant call for peace on our planet.

With "Breath," Zaragoza elevates his Ocoeur project to new heights, celebrating the marvels of the physical world around us. Breath is out on September 6th 2024.

It’s been quite some time since my last mix, but I’m excited to share a new one I’ve been working on. This mix features a variety of unreleased and upcoming tracks from both myself and my recent collaborator, Exm, showcasing our unique styles and creative synergy.
In addition to our original work, I’ve woven in some exceptional IDM tracks that reflect what I’ve been listening to lately, including artists like Vaag, Marric, Djrum, Sdem, and many more. Each selection has been carefully chosen to complement the overall flow of the mix and create an immersive listening experience.

It governs how plants stretch toward light, how bodies sway to rhythm, and how thoughts drift in response to invisible stimuli. This EP attempts to capture those motions, translating them into sound: gradual shifts, unconscious reactions, and the tension between control and inevitability.

based in tokyo, herbalistek is the production and dj duo formed of noa and yota. making some of my favourite dubstep and bass experimentations which is infused with the influences of deep techno and trap, they are representing the low end psychedelia scene in japan. making their production debut in 2019, herbalistek create these otherworldly, sometimes ethereal, textural soundscapes that are drawn from the nature and environments around them, showcasing their productions as an art of world building, creating hypnotic soundscapes to get lost into. their ‘references of synthesis’, released on 95 open tabs two years ago, has been a go to for me, exploring more of the sound design elements of their style as they look to plants, geometry, sentience, and transformation for inspiration. alongside this, they’ve also released records and remixes across ethos records, yuku, crttr, bait, wormhole music group and more.
