"sound of colour" -  fields of light is a project by Ernestine Faux, an Austrian artist, painter and sound performance artist. 
Ernestine contemplates colour beyond its visual aspect, as it encompasses acoustic frequencies, waves, physical vibrations, a whirlwind of energy, which she perceives on the acoustic plane and feels within herself, as she paints a hue on her expansive canvas. Faux's extensive research over two decades explores the 'sound of colour', where vibrations of colour and sound stimulate both hemispheres of the brain, encouraging a connection between mental and heart energy to integrate personal processes. For Ernestine, the act of looking at and perceiving art is a deeply subjective experience. Lingering in the presence of her works allows the viewer a touching, healing, naturally spiritual and nourishing process.
Every colour activates a particular tone or note of the musical octave showcased in the project: "sound of colour"
The colour yellow vibrates in the note E and the colour cadmium red in the note C.
Therefore, frequencies resonate with the endocrine system in our body and can definitely be felt.
