Aanbreken is a Moscow-based project involving two gifted individuals: Tim Aminov (production) and Gala Ga (vocals). Together they're responsible for a new and darkly atmospheric single, "29S." These performers first came together a couple of years ago, when vocals were needed for a visual project by Aminov. He describes the evolution of a moody and sometimes unnerving track.

"Galya's first contribution to my work was so cool that my mouth simply hung open. When we finally worked together on "29S", I didn't even want to show Galya the result, because I had distorted her voice so much. It became really masculine – yet she didn't react at all. Nonetheless, the two of us together realized how great this was! Now, much later, we have maybe ten tracks together. What they share is something dark and ancient. A few of the compositions even strike us as 'masonic,' somehow.

Eventually the time came to make a video for "29S" (https://vimeo.com/72713915). I'd recently discovered the choreography of Valentin Tszin – and I wrote to him at once. He danced magnificently. The video was directed by Maksim Sliusarev; the camerawork was handled by my close friends Vladimir Ushakov and Mikhail Senin. With a total crew of twenty people, we managed everything in a day. The editing, however, took about six months… We'll be presenting the video – and playing our live show – August 23 (2013) in Solyanka (Moscow). We're doing all we can to prepare – in body and spirit; this'll be something new for all of us!"
