As a music producer and DJ, Temudo is part of a new generation of artists whose work relies on the contemporary approach to Techno. His music allies the soul of the genre with a modern methodology, and has the seal of genre defining labels like Klockworks, Soma, Modularz, Mord or Warm Up. He’s one of the minds behind Hayes and runs his own Mastering Studio: Tema Mastering.


The Portuguese João Rodrigues started his alias Temudo in 2014, after a period into the Drum and Bass scene. The Drum and Bass influence can be heard not only on the detailed sound design and low end focus of his music, but also on the energetic and eclectic 3 deck sets he has to offer. As a DJ he provides a journey within the several contexts of the Techno universe, blending different years and locations with a natural and clever approach, keeping his own pace.

Over the last years he saw some of his music being widely played, such as “Tough To Say” or “The Beholder” from the EPs “Unnecessary” and “Not The End But a Change”, both released on Soma, or “Jack and Verge” from the collaborative EP with Nørbak “I Will Guide Thy Hand”, released on Modularz. 2021 seems to be a productive year, with the debut on Ben Klock’s Klockworks and Oscar Mulero’s Warm Up with 2 acclaimed EPs.

João describes himself as a nerd for audio processing, composing techniques and solving puzzles in the pursuit of the perfect mix. His background in Jazz, a Degree in Sound and a Master Degree in Music and Technology gave him the tools for the unorthodox experiments he takes in the studio. It is fair to say that Temudo is one the Portuguese Techno main characters.

At the helm of his own eponymous record label, Chawla has been serving up some of the most corrosive, jaw-breaking, knee-buckling material in the field of industrial techno, one you can definitely rely on when in need for a full mental reset, but also some of the most intriguing beatless, ambient-friendly gems at times. More regularly dishing out trampling kicks by the dozen, and as many snare uppercuts in near subliminal fashion so much your ears are filled to the brim with that thick and oily assembly-line thunder, Amotik drags us by the feet straight into the furnace.
