EPM Podcast 154 comes from Amorphic. From when his debut release was picked up by Dave Angel in 1995 for release on Rotation, Vince Watson’s name has become a byword for quality techno - infused with the spirit of Detroit. Having released on such lauded labels as Tresor, Planet E, Delsin, FCom and Ibadan as well as his own Everysoul and Bio labels he now turns his focus onto a new harder edged element to his production side with Amorphic. Amorphic has been many years in the making, finally laying out plans for hardware only live sets and DJ set tours starting in late 2022. The project exists as an outlet for Vince’s harder edged material as well as an experiment in sound. We are delighted to showcase the many facets to Vince’s new project with his ‘Amorphic’ DJ set for the EPM Podcast. Featuring artists such as Pfirter, Norbak, Drop-E, Motion Symmetry, Vertical Spectrum, Marc Faenger, Tauceti and numerous unreleased Amorphic exclusives, Vince takes us into a dark, hypnotic world of tough and taut techno beats. 

Earlier this year (2022), Vince Watson finally launched his long awaited new live Techno project ‘Amorphic’ as well as a self-titled label. The first EP (Amorphic 01) was released in March and between July and August will debut on two of the best techno labels in the business - Modularz & Symbolism, as well as a debut on Token early 2023. October will also see the 2nd EP on the Amorphic label entitled 02. Looks like Vince is back in the saddle for another busy year|

Hello friends!

Our guest for this new year special is Invite(@invite-1) (Tim van Paradijs). He doesn't need any big introduction because we assume that many techno fans around the world are familiar with his legendary and influential podcast series. Namely the “Invite’s Choice Podcast”. 

Tim’s work is one of our main influences for starting the Monument Podcast. We reminisce a few years back, gathering in our friends living room and anxiously listening to the latest episode of Invite’s Choice. The neighbors would complain about the loud music, but we didn’t care! Techno music was the first priority. When we discovered his podcast it was like a sense of coming home. The joy of getting access to great techno music is one that we would like to share with our listeners as well. 

Tim is a true DJ at heart, and for the listeners his passion for music translates through his performance. He is known for an eclectic selection of techno music that can keep audiences engaged and energized for the duration of his sets.

We are truly thankful for his contribution to our Podcast and wish our listeners a happy New Year!

Erratic Podcast 123 comes from a young Berliner who has been releasing some incredible cuts over the last couple of years, ESCAPE TO MARS. Born and bred in the German capital, he co-runs the local Modul label, which specializes in delivering quality techno from a small group of very talented artists and friends. Recently, Christoph has also released on Vault Series and Dynamic Reflection, the latter being his latest EP and his magnum opus. For us, he mixed an excellent episode taping into the deeper end of the genre while still delivering the dark and driving sound he’s become to be known for. Psyk, aka Manuel Anós, is a solid staple of the current techno scene and doesn’t seem to have gone off course since his precocious artistic ascension. He was first initiated to the mechanical sounds of techno in his birthplace Madrid, through the musical melancholy of Plastikman, and the boiling techno of Jeff Mills - His sets in the best clubs and festivals all over the world have helped crystallize his DJ talents making him one of the most requested DJs on the circuit. Psyk’s singularity and maturity are constantly present in his music, from Distane’s entraining feverish techno to darker and deeper cuts like Lowdown, Eclipse and Arcade (with reached the top stop on the RA Chart list) all the way through to his widely acclaimed debut album Time Foundation, released on Luke Slater’s Mote Evolver imprint. Furthermore Manuel is regularly mentioned by the likes of Oscar Mulero or Robert Hood as one of the most interesting producers in recent years. Like a conscientious artisan, Psyk approaches his compositions with care, adding somber power and energy through subtle touches, a process which has made him the subject of constant praise from illustrious artistic figures, be it through his offerings under the patronage of emblematic figures like Luke Slater, Len Faki, stronghold labels Tresor and CLR or even through his own label Non Series under his Maan alter-ego. Since its inception in 2011, Non Series has released collaborations by strings of prominent artists, from Marcel Dettmann to Steve Rachmad, Chevel, Norman Nodge, Mark Broom, Happa and Tadeo and has established itself as a reference in the Techno scene. By developing, refining and purifying his sets, Psyk is focusing all his efforts on the concretization of the ideas that agitate his mind.
