The guest for this edition of the Minimal Detroit podcast is Amnesiac Host, a DC-based DJ/producer and live act. He co-manages the Darkroom Bureau label and he’s co-hosted the 100% Live party in Detroit over the past few years.

He recorded this hardware set exclusively for Minimal Detroit, adding, "I recorded this mix in a single-take using a modular synth, MPC, and a xone92. I say 'mix' because I like moving between sequences on the xone similar to how I would move between tracks when DJing. I try to minimize hard transitions, allocating more time to the EQs, faders, and filters instead. The overall atmosphere I'm trying to create is one with deep kicks, lush chord pads, and subtly-moving FM leads."

As a Polish-born kid who grew up on Rock music and spent his youth playing in various bands, who loves clubs and parties butwho nevertheless has always been looking for more than what the plain reign of the four-four time has to offer, Głós (speak: 'Gwos') is a producer and live-artist who adores to make people dance with his unapologetic and hypnotic Techno. His handcrafted music stands for the pursuit and documentation of adelomorphous moments in diurnal nights, precious snippets that elsewise dissolve back into nothingness.

Hailing from Berlin, Głós' music is known for connecting 'yesterday' and 'tomorrow' without leaving 'today' aside. Slowly pulsating, his music takes off as if resounding from a distance. It seems as if you've already left the club behind while the vibrant rhythms still linger in your mind. It's the resurrection of a long gone sound whose echo is still alive on the streets, haunting you.

Following his debut Campello LP, Deepbass returns with his second album Contact With The Machine, released with his own label Informa Records. 

With eight tracks recorded in sessions of live jams, the UK-based artist takes more melodic approach to his soundscapes. As a result, the album grows into an uplifting, rhythmic, deep and atmospheric journey, whose powerful soundscapes are always evolving. 

Monument is proud to preview a track number three from the album. Dreaming Awake is a prime example of evolving, rolling, melodic, hypnotic and deep elements, that characterise the Deepbass sound as a whole.

The Contact With the Machine LP will be released on May 20th.

Having established the imprint several years ago, he is at the forefront of the electronic music scene in his hometown of Amsterdam, and gaining international recognition abroad.
