I played my first big gig in Florence in 2002, at the Fotazza de Bass. It was the beginning of a long lasting love affair between myself and Italy. I love Italy, I love the people, the parties, the clubs, the festivals, the vibe, the food and a million other things. I am so grateful that over such a long period of time, Italy has allowed me to come and play music. Especially Florence, where it all started for me, and the Viper Club has been a big part of that. A location, that was normally used to play alternative and rock shows mostly, has always been perfect for “our” kind of music too. I have such amazing memories in this place and I hope to be back there one day. This set was recorded there on November 12th 2011, which seems like a lifetime away… well maybe it is. Today´s AMFM episode contains the second hour of the set, hope you enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed playing it…

On the 6th of November I had the pleasure, after more than two years, to play the terrace of the fabulous Space club in Miami again. I feel playing at Space, especially into the early morning hours requires a little different type of setlist, and even more so when the sun starts to come up. So I specially prepared a “terrace” set and included some of my old time faves in combination with new great things. Hiroko Yamamura opened with a beautifully flowing selection and set the mood for the whole night and morning. I started at 4am and ended up playing for 5h which was so much fun, especially dropping some of my all time classics again, something I didn’t do for a while. Well you can listen to the whole thing now and make your own verdict. Today´s show contains the fifth and last hour of the set. Hope you enjoy. Oh and by the way, some news for you and as you have been reading so far, you deserve to know:) Since I restarted my CLR label this year,  I decided that I will bring back the CLR Podcast once a month with a special DJ set by the artists who release on the label. It will be under the roof of AMFM, so you don’t need to do anything, but stay tuned and you will automatically hear the “AMFM CLR Special Podcast Edition” right here at the same spot. First up was Frankie Bromley last week… hope you enjoy!

DJ, producer, musician, promoter and Techno Music enthusiast alike, Errol Dix hails out of Linz, Upper Austria. His creative work ranges from spinning vinyl records, hosting events like “Lost Diamonds” and “Rhythm Maker” to presenting his monthly DJ mix series “LIFE UNIT” on YouTube.

Having spent many years playing at numerous national and international clubs - alongside hard-hitters like Marco Zaffarano, Umek, Ben Long, The Advent, Jay Denham, Gayle San, Ignition Technician, W. J. Henze, DJ Murphy, Funk D Void, Brenda Russell, DJ Boss, Dave the Drummer, Chris Liberator, Boriqua Tribez, Jamie Bissmiere and DJ Preach... to name a few - Errol has had a lot of time to evolve his distinctive style. Inspired by his idol Ben Sims, he developed a multi-faceted and dynamic funky-sound with house influencies. Throughout his performances as a resident-DJ of “Hardgroovs”, “Schalldruckk” and “Technoelement”, Errol remained true to his Tribal and Hardgroove Techno music style. Producing his own sets was bound to occur and releases took place on various international labels like “Zero!”, “Adult Records”, “Work Hard Play Hard”, “Techno Artillery”, “*Cutz and Valvula Records”.

Some of the key gigs, that brought Errol Dix to where he is today, are: 02 Arena London, Brixton Academy London, Planet House Germany, Exact Moment Maribor Slovenia, Summerbeach Rudava Slovakia, Pressure Festival Austria, Sunflower Festival Austria, Technobase Graz Austria and Progressive Selection Tabakfabrik Austria...
