Amazing mixes mate! I've listened to a dozen or so now, and they're all top tier!

Can you recommend a few labels? Huge fan of the big rave sound style at around 1:06:00, as well as the lost in the forest with UFOs at 53:00. That ripper at 47:30 is great too. That 20:50 track is a tune too. Plenty of others as well. This is the closest thing I've heard to one of my fav mixes of all time - Takkyu Ishino Mix Up Vol 1. Love your work mate, keep it up!

Ultrastation got a strong connection with the city Utrecht. Not only it is their homebase, it's also the place they met many years ago and where their creativity and inspiration constantly gets fuelled. Last October BASIS invited Ultrastation to play a set during a special event which celebrated the 900th birthday of the city Utrecht.

ULTRASTATION
If Happn for musicians only existed, this duo would’ve met way before they finally bumped into each other in Utrecht’s night life. For years, these two music aficionados danced until dawn to the same beat at local venue Tivoli Oudegracht, only a few feet apart. Years later, the stars finally aligned: that’s when the hypnotizing techno of Nuno Dos Santos clashed into the thumping electro kicks of Ben Spaander (aka Cosmic Force). The duo found each other either on the dance floor and in the studio: a new musical collaboration was born. Ultrastation’s electrifying dynamic expresses itself through a hybrid live setting in which dj set and modular synth performance seamlessly merge into each other, creating a comet rain of techno, 909s with amplified low ends and vocoder-improvs, all on top of exquisitely mixed tracks. A formula more inflammable than a rocket’s bottom: festival sites in vortex and clubs in ecstasy (Wildeburg, Drift and HÖR Radio being excellent proof) set a new standard for live techno, all before the Ultrastation mothership sets off for another destination. With a total experience of 50 years in night life, these two local charmers from Utrecht are completive like yin to yang, Han to Chemie or Kirk to Spock. Ultrastation stuns, bedazzles, spaces out and zones in: they are the living proof of the sum of parts. To infinity and beyond.

Opener ‘Late Arrival’ builds a pressurized atmosphere, driven by a deep, pulsing rhythm and a stripped-down aesthetic. The EP continues with ‘Verentia,’ which pushes further into immersive sound design, weaving a web of psychedelic textures and hypnotic patterns. Closing the release, ‘Comatose’ lives up to its name with a heavy, relentless groove. Its broken-beat character and somatic low-end make it a formidable tool for the deepest hours of the night.

Cari Lekebusch, der an Silvester im Suicide Circus zu hören sein wird, freut sich schon hemmungslos aufs gemeinsame Feiern, was er in der Opening-Message des 44ten SC-Podcasts auch humorvoll rüberbringt. 

Was danach kommt, ist allerdings noch besser: Ungezügelte Energie, die in schönen Wellenformen immer weiter nach vorne treibt, und deren gnadenlos gute Zusammenstellung unzweifelhaft unter Beweis stellt, warum Cari nach wie vor einer der ganz Großen im Techno ist. 

Der „alte Schwede“, der einen direkten, schonungslosen Einstieg mit Jonas Kopps „Empty Planet“ hinlegt, mixt in zackigem Tempo feinsten Techno, bei dem jede shuffelnde Hihat sitzt und jede Bassdrum mit Nachdruck den Drive verstärkt. Hier ruled nicht dumpfe Brachialität. Gekonnt eingesetzte Filter und FX sorgen für Intelligenz und Shuffle. Finest stuff!

DJ, producer, musician, promoter and Techno Music enthusiast alike, Errol Dix hails out of Linz, Upper Austria. His creative work ranges from spinning vinyl records, hosting events like “Lost Diamonds” and “Rhythm Maker” to presenting his monthly DJ mix series “LIFE UNIT” on YouTube.

Having spent many years playing at numerous national and international clubs - alongside hard-hitters like Marco Zaffarano, Umek, Ben Long, The Advent, Jay Denham, Gayle San, Ignition Technician, W. J. Henze, DJ Murphy, Funk D Void, Brenda Russell, DJ Boss, Dave the Drummer, Chris Liberator, Boriqua Tribez, Jamie Bissmiere and DJ Preach... to name a few - Errol has had a lot of time to evolve his distinctive style. Inspired by his idol Ben Sims, he developed a multi-faceted and dynamic funky-sound with house influencies. Throughout his performances as a resident-DJ of “Hardgroovs”, “Schalldruckk” and “Technoelement”, Errol remained true to his Tribal and Hardgroove Techno music style. Producing his own sets was bound to occur and releases took place on various international labels like “Zero!”, “Adult Records”, “Work Hard Play Hard”, “Techno Artillery”, “*Cutz and Valvula Records”.

Some of the key gigs, that brought Errol Dix to where he is today, are: 02 Arena London, Brixton Academy London, Planet House Germany, Exact Moment Maribor Slovenia, Summerbeach Rudava Slovakia, Pressure Festival Austria, Sunflower Festival Austria, Technobase Graz Austria and Progressive Selection Tabakfabrik Austria...

Despite all remarkable achievements, for Errol it’s all about mood: listening, feeling and understanding. Playing his tracks will get you tapping your feet and nodding your head without even realizing it... so don’t be surprised when you suddenly find yourself dancing!
