Beauty Sleep are back with single "BIG + BAD" an electrifying anthem celebrating queerness and rejecting societal expectations.

 Incensed after realising how gendered their online ads were, the duo wrote the song saying "BIG + BAD is a takedown of online toxic masculinity and the pedalling of uninformed harmful ideas."

The punchy single merges big guitar riffs with flirtatious vocals and danceable beats. For fans of St Vincent and Caroline Rose, "BIG + BAD" is a lavish production with a tougher sound than their debut Be Kind, showcasing the new Beauty Sleep era in full colour.

Indie rock sweethearts Beauty Sleep are producers and songwriters Cheylene Murphy and Ryan McGroarty. The Derry duo serve up a blend of bewitching synths and bombastic guitars that are sure to set your heart racing. These partners in crime released their debut album Be Kind in 2019 which was shortlisted for Best Album at the Northern Irish Music Prize and garnered national radio support from BBC Radio One, 6Music, RTE2fm and seen them perform at festivals such as SXSW, The Great Escape and Other Voices. Beauty Sleep’s lavish soundscapes and dizzying songwriting have drawn comparisons to St Vincent, Caroline Rose & Japanese Breakfast.

Currently I'm attempting to create an "extreme sync'ed" program on my Rev 2 that is pressure sensitive and expressive as a lead utilizing key pressure. I am attempting to dial it in as this the voice continues and figuring out the max I can get away with the sounds. Then I see if I can turn it into a goth anthem towards the later point while adjusting.

Let us present: A Retro Futuristic Collage Vol. 2

It’s been approximately one year since our first retro futuristic compilation was released, and as we’ve moved further into the future, it appears we’ve come closer to the 90s, if not even ventured a tiny bit into the 00s. We might even be in the present, if not even the future. Somehow, with one foot still in the 80s.

As our universes collide, it’s hard to tell what is what. Whether you think this is a futuristic take on Eurodance with an 80s twist, Italo Body or Trance, that is totally up to you. You might even throw in a few other musical universes too. Is it EBM, Dark Disco or Indie Dance? We don’t know and we don’t judge you for deciding.
