Chances are if you have been to Sydney to party you have encountered our man, Dave Stuart. It is not hard to miss Dave  sporting his signature scarf and beard behind the decks. 

Whether playing his residency in the club at Something Else or out in the fresh air at Subsonic Festival you would have had the pleasure of hearing one of Dave's deeply constructed sets built on  years of studying the craft and collecting the finest of records.

Dave has cemented himself as one of Australia's finest selectors  and DJ's allowing him to have played alongside some of the biggest international and Australian DJ's that pass through Sydney town such as Luke Hess, Kollektiv Turmstraße, Peter Van Hoesen, Efdemin, Aril Brikka, Insect O and many, many more..

Dave also took his signature deep sounds to Europe for 6 months playing at Tresor and Golden Gate in Berlin, Parallel at Griessmuehle, Moxxom Festival and Macarena Club in Barcelona.

Dave has exclusively and meticulously mixed this vinyl only set for the Primary [colours] Mix Series. Full of beautiful dub to deep techno sounds, this will sure to be a favourite amongst all our listeners. Enjoy.

Primary [colours] Mix Series #06 - Dave Stuart

Deeptakt Records is proud to present the second CD release, which is a debut album by Vladimir Mihajlovic and Christian Rütz aka Float & Rütz. 

After the guys met in 2012 completely by accident, they instantly discovered the mutual affection they share towards the deep sounds of dub and techno music. 
From 2013 and onwards they started meeting up for recordings sessions a few times per year in both Copenhagen and Belgrade. 
Their ethos is to do everything together in person, without sending stems via internet, and more than 1600 km of distance was not exactly a helpful fact. 
But with each new session the workflow became ever more natural and effortless, and the album started slowly coming together. 

By using nothing but analog synthesizers and effects as sound sources, Float & Rutz tried to achieve the raw and organic deep and dubby techno sound they both fell in love with. This album is like a tale of two cities, a unification of north and south, it containts field recordings recorded in both cities and 
on the road between them, and that very fact gives the whole album a very special and personal storytelling feel to it. 

Across the 11 tracks featured on "Mind The Machines" Float & Rütz will take you on a beautiful journey through realms of deep dub techno music, and you are welcome to dance, meditate and get lost along the way...

Pfandtastisch! Eine riesige Meute Soundpirat*innen hat sich dazu bereit erklärt, feine Musik für den vierten und bisher größten Kopfüber Sampler zu produzieren.

Dieses Mal geht es nicht um die Schiffe der Seawatch, die wir mit dem letzten Solisampler unterstützt haben. Unser eigenes Schiff schwankt, angesichts der aktuellen Lage und steht stillgelegt in seinem Heimathafen. Daher haben wir uns entschlossen, Freund*innen und Crewmitglieder*innen zum Produzieren zu animieren und diese Soundsammlung dann als Soli Sampler für einen humanen Einklaufspreis auf Bandcamp zu stellen. Jegliche Einnahmen werden dazu genutzt, die monatliche Miete für unser Verwirrtshaus zu sichern!

Wir freuen uns auf eure Unterstützung, um unser Projekt in Zeiten wie diesen am Laufen zu halten.

Pawn-tastic! A huge mob of sound pirates* has agreed to produce fine music for the fourth and so far biggest Kopfüber sampler.

This time it's not about the Seawatch ships we supported with the last soli sampler. Our own ship is wavering, given the current situation and stands idle in its home port. Therefore we decided to encourage friends and crew members to produce and then put the collected sounds on Bandcamp as a soli-sampler for a humane price. Any income will be used to secure the monthly rent for our Verwirrtshaus!

We are looking forward to your support to keep our project running in times like these. Future samplers will be free downloads again!

A big kiss to all who helped to write this exquisite piece of music history together with more than 20 artists*...
