Too Slow To Disco continues its goal to bring some much needed Sunshine, Love and Romance back into modern Pop music and dancefloors, via the new Sunset Nu Disco / Daytime Disco release on TSTD NEO: The original is a collaboration of two of the most interesting new modern Nu Disco/Pop producers, Canada’s NICOLAAS and Stockholm’s KIMCHII (on vocals). To round up the package, we present an incredibly smooth dubby downbeat disco remix by L.A.’s Turbotito (formerly one half of Poolside) and Kimchii gives the romantic POP original a more dancefloor orientated remix-version.

In NICOLAAS’ words:
“Nostalgia plays a huge role in this project. I find a lot of inspiration when looking back - be it to my own memories, older music, art, fashion, or perspectives in-general. There’s so much to look back at, it constantly pushes us forward. To me, this track evokes a feeling of nostalgia. Referring to love, looking back is a good way to ground yourself in the present. We learn more about ourselves with each relationship we build, and hopefully grow from those experiences.”

In Kimchii’s words:
”Forever Always is a song about love and desire which outplays in twilight landscapes, on a journey towards somewhere else. Both me and NICOLAAS vibe in these landscapes, so we created this song together online, by sending files back and forth to Winnipeg and Stockholm. Many parts of the track were written during the nighttime and I believe that gives the song that special feeling too.
We’re both more than happy to share the song with you all. You’re the light at the end of the tunnel - forever always!”

With close ties to Soul Clap Records and an association with Dirtybird Records, Nick Monaco's definitely got friends in high places. 

But that's not saying he's not there either. Moving away from his early, bass-focused productions, his work has moved in a more subdued, melodic direction in the last few years, none more so than last year's 'The Stalker' EP.

ERTEBREKERS
Ertebrekers (zoals Heartbreakers) is een nieuwe groep uit Gent.
Ze heeft zwart bloed (funk, hiphop, soul) en ze drukt zich uit in het West-Vlaams. De drie stichters/voorzangers zijn Jeffrey Jefferson, Flip Kowlier en Peter Lesage.

Flip is bekend van zichzelf en van ’t Hof van Commerce.
Peter is bekend van Flip Kowlier, Gabriel Rios en Moiano.
Jeffrey is vooralsnog minder bekend. Hij is geboren als Jeffrey Bearelle, komt uit Ingelmunster en zingt en rapt al vele jaren in het Engels.

Jeffrey kwam een paar jaar geleden op de radars van Flip en Peter en kiest het West-Vlaams als tweede muzikale taal. De drie beginnen samen nummers te maken die hen zo hard bevallen dat ze tot een groep en een album leiden.

De plaat van Ertebrekers is eigen ambacht. Ze heeft een vrolijke inborst, ze vertelt verhalen met een verpletterende en overcharmante alledaagsheid en ze blaast iedereen omver.

Ertebrekers zijn gemaakt om te blijven. Vanaf februari 2016 spelen ze ook live, met uitbreiding van drummer Karel De Backer.
