Deep Bliss - Sets edition

Revered production duo Italoboyz are to kick off their 2014 with the release of a two-track, stellar EP 'La Ondasa’, also featuring bonus remixes from G Man and Nicone & Sascha Braemer on Davide Squillace’s infamous This and That label.
With hard-edged techno rhythms, chopped vocals and bags full of dance floor groove, 'Afrodite' rolls along at electric pace. Intermittent synth line running throughout. Precision-engineered and purpose built for the clubs, these are another tracks that should earmark Italoboyz as go-to names for the best in slick, tech-house club sounds.
Since arriving in London at the beginning of the new millennium, Italoboyz, aka Marco Donato and Federico Marton, have become an essential fixture of the capital’s passionate house/techno/minimal scene. This and That Lab is a think tank, created and curated by Davide Squillace that combines music, art and culture and blends them all in one, a label that acts as a platform for Davide and other like minded artists to develop creative projects. Look out for more releases on the label to come throughout the year and some exciting This and That projects in the pipeline.

So... Here we have one of the most hightly awaited EPs of the year. Since the transcendence "Imprint Of Pleasure" took being the most sold track on Beatport from 2013 and definetely one of the tracks of the year, we cannot miss the chance to release a remix pack. And then, the big question: Which artists should remix this track?.  After many discussions, we concluded that we needed four totally different point of views for such an amazing cut. That's why we choose: Monkey Safari, Adam Beyer, Rodriguez Jr. and of course our mastercat Coyu. Each artist gives a totally and unique point of view. Now it's your turn to decide who you think did the best job. We can't decide one. We love them all!

"Silent Words" is a mirror of Sebastian Porter himself and how he creates most of his tracks. It is a journey of soundelements which wander and coordinate themselves. Like in every journey there are dark times with dark drudgery but also light, cracked open moments full of enlightenment. But it all makes sense after you look at the whole picture. You have to pay full attention while listening to these tracks to really feel them. The rhythm contains a lot of single sound fragments and percussive details inside each other which create an interesting sound. At the same time, those details create the essential contrasts in this story. The story of Sebastian Porter!
“Rolling Boy” and “Wild Wendy” on the other hand are much more direct, vigorus, clear and with focus. A wonderful addition to the first track because you know how you feel when you took a journey through yourself, excactly like this!

Es ist eine Reise von Soundelementen, die wandern und sich gegenseitig dirigieren. Wie bei jeder Reise gibt es dunkle Phasen mit tiefer Schufterei und helle, aufbrechende Momente voller Erleuchtung. Sinn macht am Ende aber alles nur, wenn man es im Gesamtbild betrachtet und so entfaltet auch dieser Track die volle Wirkung erst dann, wenn man ihm in seiner Gänze die volle Aufmerksamkeit schenkt, sich ihm von Anfang bis Ende widmet. Rhythmisch greifen eine Menge einzelner Soundfragmente und percussive Details ineinander, die ein interessantes Klangbild erzeugen und alle nötigen Kontraste schaffen die eine Geschichte ausmachen. “Rolling Boy” und “Wild Wendy” sind da wesentlich direkter, energetisch, klar und fokussiert. Eine prima Ergänzung zum ersten Track, denn wer einmal durch sich selbst gereist ist weiß, wie man sich am Ende fühlt, nämlich genau so!
