Berlin’s Limited White Label presents the vinyl debut of New York City-based composer, producer, and drummer Zachary Berns. A fixture of NYC’s jazz and underground scenes, Berns has built a reputation through boundary-crossing projects (notably “zbeeez” and jazz/hip-hop collective “poetic thrust”), collaborations with rising artists across R&B, jazz, and electronic music, and acclaimed appearances at parties such as “Soul in the Horn”. With this record, he steps forward under his full name for the first time, delivering a statement that bridges his dual lineage in jazz and house/electronic/club music.

Ali*R, originally from the country in NSW, started out his music journey playing the saxophone from a young age learning different styles such as classical and jazz, and eventually made a transition into electronic music. Ali's passion for electronic music knows no bounds,  finding a deep love for genres of house such as funk, minimal, tech, deep and dub house, which eventually gave rise to his now unbridled obsession with hypnotic techno. Above all, Ali enjoys constructing deep hypnotic sets that focus on constructing a unique and thought-evoking journey, which are built around rolling atmospheric and tension-building tracks.

Axis marks a warm and playful turn within the Beluga Tracks universe. The album brings together three remixes and five original tracks by Sol Caballero, an Argentinian artist based in Madrid and one of the most exciting emerging talents in today’s electronic scene. Her sound moves effortlessly between techno, house and heavy funk influences, shaping a direct, groove-driven language with a strong personality and a clear focus on the dancefloor.

This collection stands out for its uplifting, body-moving character, conceived almost as an antidote to the colder months. Several tracks feature vocal elements, stepping outside the label’s more classic framework and expanding its sonic palette with warmth and openness. A cheeky, energetic release that embraces movement, joy and late-night/early-morning connection.

The remix section crowns the album. VIL, a key figure in the contemporary scene, delivers two contrasting yet complementary versions of Pleasant: one raw, powerful and highly functional for the dancefloor, and another more house-oriented, melodic and atmospheric, designed for the deeper hours of the night. Completing the package is gãl, a Berlin-based producer set to make serious waves in the coming years, who reimagines Midlight through a playful, trippy and psychedelic lens.
