It is my great pleasure to announce the 15th episode of Nachtblumen courtesy of Hüseyin Evirgen also known as Magna Pia. He is one half of Cassegrain, and is working on his own solo material as Magna Pia since 2016.

He studied composition, piano and electronic music at the University of Istanbul and Mozarteum Salzburg. He has composed music for theatre, dance performances and mixed media for almost two decades. 

As Magna Pia, Hüseyin Evirgen focuses on providing combative dance floor trips and unorthodox sonic moods with subtle 90s techno references while he keeps his interest in combining contemporary techno music with archaic symbolism. His solo releases include EPs on Soma Records, his debut album on Feral Note and his solo release on Arcing Seas.

In his set for Nachtblumen, Hüseyin delivers a very dynamic and diverse story, in which one can clearly hear how perfectly in control he is of every element. This hour is a great representation of what I love about the sound of Magna Pia – it’s deep, dark, emotional, driving and it can hypnotise you into a relentless state of dancing for your mind and body. Kessell is the alter ego of Valentin Corujo, half of the Exium duo and Polegroup member, this is his solo project where he explores the most liquid of his sonic palette. Granulart Recordings is his new label, physical/digital label focused on the deepest side of techno with dub, classic Detroit sound and 90´s techno influences, designed both to release his own stuff as well as music from artists that fit the philosophy of the label. Ryogo’s « Journey » was released from his label “951beat” and 40th with Resident Advisor and featured from DJ Mag, XLR8R, BBC RADIO1, Orb, Monument, After having collaborated in Detroit Movement's official compilation, he has received offers from Ovum, Secession, Human Lessons, Epione Records, Katharsis, Ovunqve, Machine to just name a few. Luca Redivo, in art R/D/V, is an Amsterdam-based audio engineer and Techno DJ/Producer who discovered his passion for music at an early age. 

Starting from his position of vinyl lover and careful researcher of sophisticated music, he soon came into contact with the European club culture. 
His DJ sets and productions are focused on a refined sound that varies between the most obscure Berlin Techno shades; they are characterised by organic drums and analogue synths.

R/D/V has recently released on [R]3volution, Secret Keywords, Devotion, West Rules, Immaterial Archives and Eclectic Limited.

I was really happy to do a 5 hours mix on Maxximum Radio https://maxximum.fr  
A bit of history about the radio…
It started in 1989 in France, it was the only radio where you could listen to electronic music 24/7. They were also doing parties once a month in different clubs and I was recording the whole night on tapes (cassettes). The only way to do this at that time was to change the tape every 1h30 so it means that I was awake the whole night and I was going to school in the morning like a zombie… This radio had a big influence on me. It was hard to find the vinyl of the sets but it was a good challenge. 
I was also doing mixtapes inspired by the radio and sold them to my friends in school so I could invest in more vinyl. 
Put your dancing shoes on and get ready for 5 hours of proper Rave techno. 💃
