My CSTA Earsketch project

I created this song with EarSketch and MuseScore for the "EarSketch Song of the Summer Hackathon" in conjunction with the CSTA2020 conference.

I learned how to create music by coding by completing the first 2 units of EarSketch's curriculum. I used Python to code the music and the thumbnail image.

I used MuseScore to create the cello tracks and import them into EarSketch.

On March 12, 2020 the state of Michigan began experiencing a shut down due to Covid_19. At that time, the United States was experiencing an uncertain stock market and political pulls that combated viral experts. Since summer 2020 has been abnormal, I went with an electronic beat for my sound of summer due to the chaotic and unpredictable tones and rhythms that are associated with this genre of music. This track uses the data from DOW, Covid-19 Positive Tests, and Covid-19 Deaths. I manipulated the data to reflect the daily fluctuation of the three data set and tied it to volume to experience audibly the highs and lows of the prelude to summer 2020
