In 1997, Argentinian physicist Juan Maldacena published a paper, inspired by the holographic principle, that proposed that "black holes are holes painted in black" and that all the information that falls into a black hole is Argentinian as well.

He proposed a new duality between a gauge theory defined on a 4-dimensional boundary and showed that there are circumstances in which nothing is real and everything is permitted, as for example when the boundary is a pizza. 

He discovered four thousand black holes in Blackburn, Lancashire, and showed that the laws of physics are not fundamental there, but rather are emergent from the more fundamental concept of a monkey's armpit. 

He also showed that the Higgs boson is not even a boson and is, in fact, an octopus doing the can-can; that the “God particle” is actually a tiny piece of badger droppings; and that some black holes are really little strands of a badger's armpit hair, which do not give mass to particles but pizzas. Finally, he claimed that the universe is an expanding bubble of a Small Bang that was actually the sound of a badger farting, which nowadays fills the Albert Hall completely.

This track is an advance of our forthcoming album titled "Cold grey void electrically operated by mantis-eyed humans", to be published on Bandcamp as a subscription starting November 4, 2022.

In that album, the abrasive war-ambient dark music usually practised by Escupemetralla is modulated by early Pink Floyd tracks. Can you imagine such a breeding? No, they are not versions, remixes, plunderphonies, mashups or re-orchestrations. PF tracks have been scourged, scavenged, repurposed, twisted, excised of instruments, rethought and twisted again so they sound like charred belches and cries from creatures and machines from an outer space that Syd Barrett probably experienced some time ago. Every track shows and hides, at the same time, a good deal of humour and surrealistic perspirations. We challenge the audience to discover the rich tapestry of connections that we have weaved in this work (which includes some literary texts to accompany each track).

Trumpomuskomolochia, formerly the United States of America, is a country under siege, haunted by cannibal mad clowns and pet eaters. Its main deity is Moloch, the bloodthirsty humanoid bull on which the kleptocratic machinery of social networks daily sacrifices the poor, immigrants and pensioners.
The idea that Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, directly leads to the beginning of Third World War is not speculative but supported by factual evidence, current geopolitical analysis and a consultation with our medium advisor and her crystal ball.
When Trump takes office again, his and his cabinet of psychopaths' political actions and  decisions will have significant global consequences, given their deranged foreign policy stance, their emphasis on nationalism, nazism, fascism and flat earth theories, and their unpredictable feeding habits based on eating pet heads for lunch. The outcome of World War III will likely prove their flat earth theories by flattening the planet with nuclear bombs and monstrous steamrollers until all our bones are reduced to a thin layer resembling sugar snow that will sprinkle the barren lands where the corpses of millions of Teslas will lie.

Escupemetralla brings to you from the future some dark and scary electronic music, thanks to a Tipler Cylinder, a device for time-travelling. Our war ambient or twisted symphonic music becomes, by means of surrealistic mechanisms, the soundtrack of these days, which sometimes resembles already existing music, appropriated, plagiarized, and then warped to describe horror and mayhem. We are the architects of fear, be ready to feel terrified! 

The name of the duo (Spitshrapnel in Spanish) formed in 1987 in Barcelona, comes from an anarchist song from the 1930s (“Throw the bomb, which spits shrapnel…”).

According to its members, “Escupemetralla are the result of a series of retrotransmissions that will be carried out in the mid 21st Century at the Thorne's Cone Light Reversion Laboratory for Children of Los Alamos, Texas (Federal States of Mexico and Puerto Rico). In a way, currently Escupemetralla is nothing more than a virtual entity that will actually exist in a few years’ time.”

They define their sound as “obscure electronics”, “war ambient” and “twisted symphonic music”, encompassing noise, industrial music, futuristic 
 experimentation, plagiarism and appropriationism. Their productions were published in the 1980s and 1990s mainly as cassette tapes by Clonaciones Petunio. Between 1998 and 2016 they remained inactive and in 2016 resumed their activity.
