to cheer or boo at who accomplished them, you'll love this album, trust us. DICKPICK by the VAPING COWGRL is their second release on Organisation General Records, in their own words: "a testimony of pre-covid era music, whatever that means". The aloof collective joined force in 2019, in the suburbs of Paris, "this recordings are maybe our failed attempt at evoking what suburban life in Paris gentrifying neighbourhoods is like for us, i'd say, a vague nostalgia of americana, something keeps on missing you but hitting you at the same time, that maybe authenticity, fake authenticity or I don't know...." explains furthermore Wayne Mage a member of the collective. One thing for sure their songs don't lack any swagger. You can feel some of that music may have been produced under the influence of some BBQ sauce one might only be enjoyed with some good texan ribs once in a blue moon. Nothing smells like french cheese in their music. To add to the metaphor: "we hope you can enjoy this song cycle like a fine bottle of Japanese whiskey or some homemade cookies with weird shapes but the perfect ratio of chocolate chips to dough" they finally tell me.
