It sounded like “Doer”. This was the second song written for this project. A dedication to the folks that actually walk the walk. Inspired by the timeless sound of A Tribe Called Quest, I was approached in 2019 with the idea to create a song honouring the group. The instrumental, provided by producer MC Till, resonated deeply with me evoking the unmistakable essence of ATCQ's musical legacy.

Fittingly titled "Tribute To Tribe," the song captures the spirit and vibe of ATCQ, paying homage to their groundbreaking contributions to hip-hop culture.

As a lifelong fan of A Tribe Called Quest, creating 'Tribute To Tribe' was a deeply personal endeavour for me. Their music has been a constant source of inspiration throughout my career, and this song is my way of paying homage to their legacy and the impact they've had on me.

13. THE - CONNECTED - EP - SNIPPET - PROMO

This is the 1st single off the upcoming album entitled "The Connected EP" which is available at http://esxpanda.bandcamp.com

It was the first song written and recorded for this project. It set the tone for how the remaining songs would be approached. Panda and I connected on facebook shortly after COVID lockdowns started. Panda laced me with this banger. I got inspired to create. This was a fitting title.

“The Connect EP” is a collaborative project between Canadian emcee, Es and United Kingdom DJ/Producer/Engineer, DJ Pandamonium. The two connected via a DJ Pandamonium post on a Facebook hiphop group page which caught Es’ attention. The two would eventually connect, get better acquainted with each other’s musical prowess, and the rest, you can say is history. This 6 track EP came together within a few months and showcases their mutual love for true school inspired boom bap hiphop. From two different continents, hiphop was the connecting force. It was only right that the project be titled as such. Enjoy!

Based out of Mississauga, Es is an avid fan of hiphop as well as a student of hiphop. Inspired by influences from the golden era of hip hop and music in general, Es makes a conscious effort to take it back to the essence of hip hop...hard beats and raw rhymes. Since 1991, Es has been writing rhymes as a therapeutic release. Fast forward 30 years and he is still as passionate now as he was as a teenager.


As a now proud husband and father of three, he finds solace in sharing his perspectives on life through the lens of maturity and wisdom. His lyrics speak truth, with a level of honesty that makes his material relatable.
