Transmission for Palestine is an initiative in solidarity with the decades-long Palestinian struggle coordinated by Ankali and Radio Laude. On Sunday and Monday we will stream music from all the corners of the world to gather funds that will be distributed between the Palestine Child Relief Fund and the Urgent Humanitarian Aid to Gaza campaign, whose work is to provide medical care to those that have been the most vulnerable to the violence. We do this in the wake of a 10-day long violence period which ended in a ceasefire earlier today and left behind death and destruction from which the affected community will take long to heal.

In the face of an asymmetrical conflict, we are supporting those overpowered and weak in the face of blatant injustice. The threat to the wellbeing of the Israeli population, while real, cannot be compared to the existential risk or stress undergone by the Palestinian people and it is visible in the disproportionate number of deaths, injuries, material destruction and trauma present on both sides. We want to raise our voice for those who can’t.

- Fragments - Live at Coudenberg, Brussels

This live was recorded the 11th October 2018 during the BEM festival. It features Jean Mengual, Gregoire Houcke, Adrien Vullo and Jeremy Bocquet.

The Coudenberg Palace is an amazing location, witness of old Brussels and its transformations. For this venue we decided to record special pieces of sound of several rooms of the Coudenberg with traditional instruments acting as diapasons. As usual in the "Fragments" project, this pieces of sound became the starting point for the live development. Mixed up with other types of contents (modular, samples taken live from vinyls...) the aim is to recreate and reinterpret the soundscape of the location.

Sounds are appearing scattered, blurry, like when searching in the brain to try and remember old memories, which, at some point, will come up bright and clear.

Following the devastating explosion at the Port of Beirut on August 4, Ma3azef teamed up with New York-based mastering engineer Heba Kadry to curate a compilation by regional and international musicians to raise funds for the continuous relief work being done on the ground in Beirut to help those who have been failed by the Lebanese state.

Today, we're happy to announce two additional remixes to be added to the compilation: ZULI's Kiwii, remixed by El Kontessa; Deena Abdelwahed's Wein El Malayeen, remixed  by Ancient Methods.

The 19-track compilation includes contributions by the likes of Fatima Al Qadiri, Nicolás Jaar, ZULI, Slikback, and others. Bringing sounds together from the different crevices of electronic music, it is a humble attempt to galvanize musicians and listeners into supporting a city that has been integral in shaping the region’s contemporary music scene.

All proceeds from the sales of the compilation are going to local initiatives to provide assistance to those affected, they will be divided between Fundraising Campaign for the Arts and Culture Community in Beirut organized by AFAC; Beirut Musicians' Fund organized by Tunefork Studios, and Beit el Baraka.
