Eternelle - Eskadet Feat. Natalia Anchel Babanova

On April 2nd my new album "Touch" will be released and this is the title track. 

"Touch" is mostly in the braindance / IDM direction and for me it was a lot of fun bringing elements together I haven't heard this way before. However it's quite experimental, quirky, sometimes a bit over the top, like you will probably notice with this twist half way through, and definitely very algorithm unfriendly...not that I ever cared about that. Maybe it demands a bit much, so my hope is that at least it will find a small open minded niche audience. 

"Touch" is the first of three upcoming Spoq releases this year, the other two will be a bit easier to digest, but for me as an artist, who just loves to play and experiment outside of conventions, this is my personal favourite.

In a world increasingly defined by division, distance, and digital abstraction, Spoq's new album "Touch" proposes something disarmingly simple: closeness.

In an abstract way, Wolfram Gruss, the composer and writer behind Spoq, builds this album around the fragile, complex idea of human connection. Touch moves between tenderness and irony, sincerity and self-awareness. There are moments of almost exaggerated sweetness—intentionally corny, unapologetically emotional, yet beneath them lies a current of introspective melancholy. The album does not shy away from vulnerability; instead, it magnifies it, questioning whether openness might itself be a radical gesture in the present moment.

This emotional duality is mirrored in the music’s constant shifts in dynamic and texture. Calm, immersive passages give way to restless motion. Warmth is interrupted by sharp frequencies. Intimacy coexists with fragmentation. Spoq juxtaposes ambient stillness with intricate rhythmic structures, fragile atmospheres with bursts of digital interference. The contrasts never feel arbitrary, they feel alive, human.

There is humor here too. Subtle, tongue-in-cheek, sometimes almost absurd. Quirky sonic details surface within otherwise serious compositions, gently destabilizing expectations. It is a reminder that closeness includes awkwardness, imperfection and play.

Musically, "Touch" traverses IDM, Chillout, Ambient, and Downtempo without settling comfortably into any single genre. Instead, it dissolves boundaries, allowing seemingly incompatible elements to coexist: fast, precise rhythms layered over expansive soundscapes. Found sounds and human voices treated as instruments, electroacoustic textures intertwined with pristine electronic synthesis. Binaural frequencies add a spatial dimension that bends perception, drawing the listener into an immersive, almost tactile listening experience.

Entirely handcrafted, the album reflects Wolfram Gruss’s meticulous attention to detail and his mastery of dynamic, surprising arrangements. Every shift is intentional, every rupture meaningful.

Touch is forward-thinking yet deeply personal—music that resists categorization while remaining emotionally direct. It is an invitation to listen closely, to feel more deeply, and perhaps, in its own quiet way, to move a little closer to one another.

Danish artist and Silk Music co-owner Gorm Sorensen is back with a new original chillout song, "Opening Leaves." On remix detail are Stray Theories and Orion & J.Shore, both of whom are equally well-known names to Silk's chillout fans.

The Original Mix takes off with blissful piano notes and mesmerizing string layers in the background. Intriguing bell sounds and captivating horn melodies emerge, and numerous pads are layered up as the song progresses. Stunning harmonies in spell-binding structures are at play later in the song.

New Zealand-based virtuoso Stray Theories provides the first remix of "Opening Leaves." An otherworldly atmosphere is quickly established, featuring lush guitar riffs, subtle percussion elements, and mellifluous pad layers. Altogether, this remix is a stunning and highly memorable interpretation.

Finnish brothers Orion & J.Shore return to Silk Music with their classical take on "Opening Leaves." The remix features a wealth of astonishing instruments and melodies -- for example, the frisky flutes array, guitar riffs, and multiple piano layers all make this a unique listening experience.
