Casso really provided the perfect production for this record it's angelic and at the same time it sounds like something out of the dungeon that sound actually inspired the hook you know mirror mirror on the wall"

"I recorded The SNOB (Skinny Nigga On The Boat) Album in four different studios, I love being in studios especially a new one I always draw inspiration from them, the studio is my stadium I feel like I'm Jordan lacing up a fresh pair out of the box, the production from Casso placed me in that mood it sounded like I was walking in the arena toward the locker room or a boxer walking out to the ring he really did his thing on that one.”

"During the creation process for The SNOB (Skinny Nigga On The Boat) Album I took six road trips, I always loved going on road trips it's something about them that places my mind at ease, however this road trip that I'm referring to took place a few years back. This song is an actual conversation and experience the song is almost verbatim like most or my records that depict moments from my life. I'm not sure how Casso did it but he was able to make this record sound like I was actually taking the listener on a road trip, so much soul on this record it's beautiful and calm just like a road trip lol"

"In the process of creating The SNOB (Skinny Nigga On The Boat) Album I attended 7 different parties, I don't party much but when I do we usually always have a good time whoever I'm there for or there with, however myself and Casso didn't want to create a "Party" record. We wanted a laid back chill type of vibe you know something with an artsy feel to it . Again Casso did a terrific job with the production this one challenged me the most I will admit, I just wanted to remind the hard workers and self-employed to make sure you take the time out to enjoy life."

"I had production from eight different producers on my album. That includes Casso, Jay B, June G., Flashbeats, TwanBeatMakers, Leak, Legion, BamDido. They all provided something different to my album almost like different pieces from different puzzles that somehow managed to fit perfectly. I wanted to pay homage to them all and describe their unique styles on this record I'm a fan of theirs and also I never heard another rapper pay homage to the producers on their album in a song at least not saying no one hasn't I just never heard it before. I didn't know what I would write about before I heard the track but when I heard it I knew it as soon as I heard it. It's almost scary when you think about it but this was the perfect description and I'm pretty sure Casso enjoyed what I had to say about him also.”

"Honestly I just got really selfish with this one there were nine songs on my album and aside from that I wanted the listener to know the things I go through day to day that run through my mind the whole process, of course a song can only be but so long so I can only share so much but this one I just wanted the listener to understand or at least try to to understand that the songs that I create come from real experiences in my life. Casso made this really melodic and it's almost as if the drums are delayed trying to catch up to the chords I can't tell you how he did it but whatever he did that joint was just the right mixture and that brought the lyrics to life."

"For my album I had ten features if you include the intro the outro and one of the skits, I didn't want to do the same thing I did for producers and shout them all out or pay homage so I decided to describe my verses or a feature from me as being a piece of jewelry, get one while it's cheaper lol. I kept hearing this one part of the beat that sounded like jewelry clinking Casso did that joint for real."

"It took eleven months from the concept to come to life for the records for the mix for the release, I wanted to tell people be patient take your time enjoy life and at the same time get to work whatever you want in life do it and do it now tomorrow isn't promised so whatever you want to do, do it and do it NOW. I don't even know what to say about Casso on this record I mean he really outdid himself on this one and set the bar high for himself that record is just purely one of the dopest I ever heard just being a fan of music not just HipHop but music."

Surrounded by poverty, death and crime, the idea of becoming a successful rapper was the furthest thing from Eskay Home’s mind. Growing up on the East Side of Buffalo, N.Y. - one of the poorest cities in the country - there wasn’t much of a local Hip-Hop scene. Eskay relied on the radio for East Coast Hip-Hop, his mom for soulful music from the ‘70s and ‘80s, and his older brothers and sister for what’s hot. Living in Atlanta for a few years, the innovative sounds created over there grew on him.

Inspired by his older sister, Keisha Plum - also a poet - giving birth to and naming her daughter after him, Eskay started considering a career in music. Rhyming for an audience of friends through shared experiences in Buffalo - memories of catching a “jitney” or going to Avenue’s Pizzeria on Bailey - Eskay’s music is autobiographical in nature, but also a reflection of the Black experience - our history, lifestyle and language.

“Eskay home!” That’s what friends in Buffalo would say whenever he came back to visit from Atlanta. Eskay Home became symbolic of friendship and evolved into his stage name. During studio sessions, he envisions Jay-Z listening to his music on the way to a meeting, or motivating Lebron James during warm-ups. There’s no question Eskay wants to inspire the lives that change the world.

“I want to use my music as a platform to save lives. It’ll be dope to sell millions and have large tours and win a Grammy or two, but more important than any of those things is helping people get into positions to change their lives. I can’t do it all by myself - no. But maybe. Who knows?”
