Cathedral Of Bleep [rough cut]

I watched Dune 2 and got inspired.

Pams is driving Plaits into a ping pong delay.and into a Disting reverb.
Plaits Harm CV is being triggered by a S&H, in turn triggered by PAM's so the timbre changes every few beats.  Other modulation thanks to Ochd.

VIL is the drone, with Flavor modulation from Ochd and Tang modulation courtasy of a cycling envelope with a long decay.

Everything is mixed then stuck through a filter (Sqwk Dirty) with the Ochd expander on cutoff frequency duty.

Tides Of Arrakis

a live performance inspired once again by Dune.

this time a Sinc Legio (really a Virt Iter Legio running the sinc legio firmware) with PM from a Disting 4 running a wavefolder VCO (triangle on the left, sub square on the right).  that's pumped through the milky way in heavy reverb and occasional distortion.

meanwhile, a Plaits modulated by Ochd and expander runs through a Sqwk Dirty filter also with lots of modulation.  CV-tastic.

pitches are set by a BSP doing the barest minimum of work.

Arrival Of The Harkonnens

Inspired by an RPG my friend has written called Arrhenius (https://itch.io/t/3411324/arrhenius-a-far-future-icecore-ttrpg).

I won't do patch notes for this one but there's a bunch of feedback loops and lots of reverb and delay all over the place.  It's a generative patch so the only performance was some mixing and balancing through the recording.

This is me getting used to the Beatstep Pro.  I have two sequences of different lengths driving pretty straightforward synth voices (VCO -> VCF -> VCA) but the velocity on one sequence is driving the cutoff frequency of the voice for the other one.  This gives a lot more dynamics to the voices (i think).

The rest is some LFOs on the voices themselves, and a whole bunch of knob tweaking on the filters and effects units.

This was a fun one, again inspired by Jesse Harlin's Arrhenius TTRPG.

We've got filtered noise mixed with a PM'd chunky VCO, new wave style drums, and shifting reverb heavy organ sounds.

The Muter March

Live performance of a Eurorack patch, once more inspired by Arrhenius.

There's a couple of little tricks in this one, like using a fast sequence drenched with reverb as a pad, and an envelope with a very short rise/fall as a voice.  Other than that it's heaps of modulation and tape delay.

Browsing the Genevaults

Inspired by Arrhenius, this is the soundtrack to a pack of scabs scavenging through a retro metro.

a bit-crushed square wave through a modulated wasp filter with modulated plate reverb underpins the bass with pulsing vowel sounds to back it up provided by VIL.  chords are more square waves (plaits, naturally) through a ladder filter.
