A wonderful thing when 2 people come together from different corners of the world and unite through music, sharing their experiences and building blocks to support shared ideas. This is exactly what happened with Dreadsquad and Blackout JA when, at Uprising Festival, Slovakia, the pair met, bonded and decided to spend a week writing and recording to produce what is now the main body of 'World Destruction’.

The result, as Dreadsquad feels, ‘is at the same time very diverse and cohesive’ and this is down to a number of things; namely the production techniques used, the style of Blackouts vocals and the natural way that all of the songs came together to reflect the current atmosphere of the world.

Subject matters of the songs move through corruption, poverty, mind control, war on drugs, police brutality and the destruction of the world we are living in but they also highlight positivity and solutions spreading love and giving people hope.

The 2 singles being lifted from the album, ‘Last Tune’ and ‘A Girl Like You’, will be put to good use on both the radio and dance floor, then the album as a whole takes in many different genres; Roots Reggae, Digital / Raggamuffin, UK Steppas, Rub a Dub with influences of World Music and EDM.

“Beware” is the third single by Cool Up Records who in this occasion have the special participation of Lasai, one of the most outstanding artists in Spain who recently released his new album “Still the same”. 

Beware is a digital Reggae song whose melodies and bassline have been recorded with the classic keyboard Casio MT-40, an essential musical instrument in the 80s digital Reggae era. Its emergence in this context was introduced by the pioneer King Jammys, with his international hit Sleng Teng. 

In “Beware” the artist from Madrid wants to show the harsh reality of this oppressor and deceiving system we are living in, advising it to beware for one day the masses will awake. 

As usual the illustration has been made by the authentic and original Mr John Vanilla.

“Boom Shaka Attack” is “Dub Troubles” first single for 2020, with which he presents a new artist on the label, the man called “Ranking Sepah”, a young talented singjay based out of Galiza, Spain.
“Boom Shaka Attack” is a single release formed by two tracks; a vocal version in which “Ranking Sepah” flows easily with a nice rub a dub style, speaking about the oppressive Babylon system, accompanied by “Dub Shaka Attack” another wicked dub version crafted in the old school analog-style by master engineer “Dub Troubles” who also crafted this powerful Casiotone style riddim which will be exclusively available at Fat Bird Recordings Bandcamp.
