Bristol based imprint FutureBoogie delivers rock solid nu-disco and house 12"s for already five years now. Their latest release to date by Lauer certainly didn't disappoint and they're now rolling into spring
with a heavyweight one from dastardly duo Ron & Neil Aka Ron Basejam and Neil Diablo, who between them bring years of musical chops and (most importantly) "the funk" to the table.
In its Original Mix, ‘Perdre Son Éclat’ is a breezy yet sturdy slice of atmospheric synth dance, resplendent with swirling riffs and stammering bass. A thunderous Roland CR-78 drum pattern keeps everything in check, and its sultry french vocals flitter between spoken word and harmonious refrains, lacing the track with a superb "new wave" feel.
Here premiered, a remix comes courtesy of Man Power, the musical enigma that traded on his anonymity for a couple of years before coming clean as the English DJ/producer Geoff Kirkwood. Having released on labels like Hivern, Throne Of Blood and Correspondant, Man Power takes "Perdre Son Éclat" into even deeper territories, crafting a moody and spacious version that respectfully stays close to the original mix. Sean Johnston returns to @throneofblood this month with a new 12" under his @hardwaybros alias! Best known as one half of legendary DJ team A Love From Outer Space alongside Andrew Weatherall, he's also released music on labels like Flashcomm and Sabres of Paradise.

We're premiering Throne of Blood label manager Max Pask's remix of 'Friedman Feedback Loop Revision' (the title itself a nod to label boss James Friedman's "highly-valued opinions"). Pask brings his love for all thing analog and Italo to the table, transforming the original into an epic set-closer.

PREMIERE: Hardway Bros - Friendman Feedback Loop Revision (Max Pask Remix) [Throne of Blood]

Since meeting as students in Leeds, these two friends have shared their passion for music. The pair immersed themselves in the city’s clubbing and live music scenes and after discovering a mutual appreciation of Techno, Classic House, Indie, Acid and a lingering teenage love of Metal; they began making music together.

Early demos generated murmurs of approval amongst bloggers, clubbers, open-minded members of the indie glitterati and earned them a residency at the one of the UK’s most prominent club nights, Wax:On. Shows in the UK and Europe followed along with a couple of original EP’s and remixes which won them the support of fans and landed them a guest mix spot on Radio 1.

Summers spent darting back and forth between English festivals and Ibiza residencies were paired with winters spend in a dark South London studio full of old synths. Those long days helped tighten and focus their sound and resulted in a further run of original EP’s and a another host of remixes.

The Twins have continued to focus on their efforts in the studio in conjunction with DJing around the UK and Europe, and have gained a whole of new fans and champions including Mr Andrew Weatherall, who has not only consistently supported their productions in his DJ sets but also invited them into to play his A Love From Outer Space parties.

Eskimo Twins have a host of new material due out in the coming months.
