The Evergreen Student Music Project is a 35-year running tradition of music composed, performed, recorded, and produced by Evergreen students in collaboration with Students & Activities, Electronic Media, and the Advanced Recording/Multi-track Composition program. This project aims to promote creativity by giving students an outlet for their art, both visual and musical. Our group consists mostly of audio recording students from the Advanced Audio Recording program taught by Peter Randlette, the Intro to Audio Recording class taught by Zena Vergara, and the Electronic Media Interns. This group, started in 1980 as the Evergreen Album Project, later became The Evergreen CD Project, then, as of a few years ago, became the Evergreen Student Music Project, and is currently known as the Evergreen Student Media Project.
