Some personal words:
My music taste was shaped by living in many countries. Growing up in Moscow, Russia, my journey began as a child with a rare vinyl collection inherited from my dad. Later, after spending a third of my life in Dubai and a few years in the Cayman Islands, I embraced different cultural traditions of local sound. 
My obsession with dub techno began in my teenage years when I accidentally got a vinyl of Maurizio M7. Heavily influenced by labels like Chain Reaction, M_nus, Staalplaat, and others, I have been exploring the depths of dub techno, deep, and minimal ever since.

Artist: Armin Bender [Greyscale / Ohm Series / Vuo Records / spclnch / Piranha Siberia Dub]

For Our 16th trip around the musical cosmos we welcome to the controls a German artist who we have been a fan of for some time. With Releases on some of the top dub techno labels including , Greyscale, OHM Series and Vuo Records, we are proud to be able to host this mix from Armin Bender.

Armin is an artist who has been involved in the dub techno scene for 30 years, he is a passionate Vinyl collector, DJ and producer. An understated artist who goes about his work in a quiet and professional manner. 

This is summed up in his short but sweet biography - 

"Mind rave, goose bumps, deepness, groove, a smile on the face. Thats what its all about... No more words necessary, no history, no credits, no stereotypes, just the music that I love, preferably on vinyl... Peace!"

We thank Armin for his contribution to the series, its another fantastic mix filled some some audible delights including tracks from Dana Ruh, Pablo Bolivar, Matt & Mark Thibideau as well as the beautiful early track by DJ Sandwich on OGE White. For over 20 years Martin Jarl was something of an anomaly in my record collection. At the turn of the century, I was largely buying records on the likes of Deepchord, Salz, Nurture, Bluetrain & Minus THX. I'd also been following the emergence of some labels pushing the more minimal sound for a couple of years, the likes of Out to Lunch, Playhouse & Raum...musik. After the closure of Atlas in Soho I habitually shopped in Smallfish; and I remember adding Martin's Weetabix EP to the listening pile. Upon hearing it I immediately bought two copies, and for the next two decades considered it one of my 'desert island discs'. 

By 2024 both copies were hammered and full of surface noise, and what started out as a tentative ask for some wav files, turned into an opportunity to re-release a track from one of my favourite records. Frankly I could've gone for any of the four tracks. Whether Martin knew to what extent or not; including a remaster of the title track in last year's V/A compilation was a really special moment in lempuyang's journey. Naturally I also asked him if he'd be up for recording a mix for the series. Martin is anything but prolific, and good things truly come to those who wait.

Berlin techno veteran Alexander Kowalski brings his Slam Radio mix today after just releasing his album on Mord: After having immediately established himself as an dynamic live act in 1997, Kowalski has made a career of engaging his fleet of machines in the production of everything from techno to house and dub. Essentially a self reliant solo artist, Kowalski has also been a galvanizing force in his corner of the Berlin techno scene both as a label boss at Damage Music Berlin, production collaborator and remixer.

After his first visits to the Old Tresor on Leipziger Strasse, He was so enthusiastic about this Music that he soon began to visit the Hardwax Recordstore on a Regular Basis.
Soon he played regulary at small events on the outskirds of Berlin.
Alexander Kowalski invited him to the First Play @ Tresor, there he startet to Play on "New Faces" and " Tresor Next"
Today he is a Resident on Tresor.
On his Dj Sets he come with Sound like Downwards, UR or Basic Channel.
Also he are a Producer and he have Released on many diverent Labels like Torque, Paranoid Dancer or Damage Music. Sometime in Cooperation with Alexander Kowalski. 
The First Solo E.P. "Field Dominance" was Released on Berlin based Label "KONFLKT". The Upcomming 3 Track E.P. also in cooperation with Alexander Kowalski will Release on "Illegal Alien" this Summer.
