With almost twenty years of experience in the studio, Andrey Kurokhtin, aka Shine Grooves, has polished his style, which was initially inspired by the sound of Kompakt releases in the early '00s, into wonderful, ever-changing storytelling that covers broad spectrums of Electronic music. During his musical endeavors, Andrey launched three record labels Biotronic and vinyl-only Quadrat Records and Hanagasumi Records. Besides releasing on his imprints, Shine Grooves is a usual suspect on one of our favorite record labels out there, Kimochi Sound.
The mix Andrey prepared for us is made of his original work that is either unreleased or soon to be released on vinyl. It's a mesmerizing fairy tale that is serene, laid back, yet groovy enough to get you moving while enjoying it on one of the rooftops during these hot summer days. We're super geeked to welcome Ninasupsa aka Nina Bochorishvili to the GF series this week. This immensely talented DJ is one of the founders of Mutant Radio and a resident DJ at Bassiani/Horoom in Tbilisi. Together with an impressive team consisting of Tata and many other talented individuals, this forward-thinking crew bootstrapped an online station and grew this into one of the most prominent platforms in the scene. It's set up in a wagon and located at a former power station in Tbilisi, Georgia. Here they've crafted and developed their distinct mutant sound and host radio shows by Low Bat, who is a key contributor to the station, Diamin, Sons of Traders, Newworldaquarium, Robert Bergman, our own Bertram, and many others. They also invest heavily in their local community and never shy away from sharing their political views. Whether hosting takeovers in Garage Noord here in Amsterdam or Sameheads in Berlin, Ninasupsa and her team continue to spread the mutant gospel and we couldn't be happier about it.
