While dance music imprint ESP Institute functions both in NYC and L.A., they’re at their curatorial best when unearthing talent from around the world, be it Japan’s COS/MES, Australia’s Michael Ozone, or Amsterdam’s Young Marco. Here, they introduce the Munich trio Tambien, consisting of Marvin Schuhmann, Valentino Betz, and Beni Brachtel. The A-side, “Drogato,” features drum circle-style percussion and menacing laser blasts at the start, adding in pistoning drum machines that pushes the driving track even higher.
