Slow Comet

Composed for the official remake of Star Control 2, called The Ur-Quan Masters. This theme started out as an attempt to recapture the mood of the Alien soundtrack, especially the flute. It later evolved into a hybrid between Alien, Fallout, Freespace and Dune. The most soothingly ambient piece I had ever written at the time, it still manages to be creepy and discomforting. This track is used during planetary exploration, where it is supposed to create an alien and mysterious atmosphere.

Matt Gray - Last Ninja 2 Reformation New Preview

Finally releasing a song that has been gathering dust since I first put it together in 2010. All guitar and bass parts are played by me, everything put togheter in Reason and tinkered with endlessly. Drums are plotted note for note, drum kit from the excellent Reason Drum Kits refill.

Taking Wing

Don't know why I haven't realeased this on SoundCloud before now, but here it is. A very short piano piece originally composed 16 January 2007, then revisited in time to compete in hanhis' Soft & Smooth compo on traxinspace.com in Oct/Nov 2008.

I was originally aiming towards something Grieg might have done, but with the addition of a cello it suddenly turned into a late baroque / early romantic style instead.
